Dolormin Migraine film-coated tablets contain the active ingredient ibuprofen as ibuprofen-DL-lysine (1:1).They are an analgesic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory drug that is used for the symptomatic treatment of the acute headache phase of migraines with and without aura.This product is suitable for children weighing 20 kg and over (6 years and older), teenagers and adults.No prescription is required for this product.

Dolormin Migraine film-coated tablets contain the active ingredient ibuprofen as ibuprofen-DL-lysine (1:1).They are a painkiller, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory medicine (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug/NSAID).Dolormin Migraine film-coated tablets are used for the symptomatic treatment of the acute headache phase of migraines with and without aura.They are suitable for children weighing 20 kg or more (6 years and older), teenagers and adults.

What should you consider before taking Dolormin migraine film-coated tablets?

Dolormin Migraine film-coated tablets must not be taken if you are allergic to ibuprofen or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.You should also not take the medicine if you have certain previous illnesses or in special situations, such as existing or repeated stomach/duodenal ulcers or bleeding in the past, severe liver or kidney dysfunction, severe heart problems, in the last three months of pregnancy or in children under 20 kg (6 years of age).

Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Dolormin Migraine film-coated tablets, especially if you are elderly, suffer from bleeding from the gastrointestinal tract, ulcers or perforations or are taking other medicines at the same time that may increase the risk of ulcers or bleeding.Treatment should also be discussed with your doctor or pharmacist if you have certain heart diseases, high blood pressure, diabetes or high cholesterol levels, or if you smoke.

Dolormin Migraine film-coated tablets can mask signs of infection such as fever and pain.If you take this medicine during an infection and your infection symptoms persist or worsen, consult a doctor immediately.Particularly careful medical supervision is required in the case of certain congenital blood formation disorders, certain autoimmune diseases, impaired kidney or liver function, if the body is dehydrated, immediately after major surgical procedures, allergies, nasal polyps, chronic swelling of the nasal mucosa or chronic respiratory diseases that narrow the airways, as well as in older patients.

How should Dolormin migraine film-coated tablets be taken?

Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you.The lowest effective dose should be used for the shortest duration necessary to relieve symptoms.The recommended dose is:

Children between 6 and 9 years (20 - 29 kg): Half a film-coated tablet (equivalent to 200 mg ibuprofen) as a single dose, maximum total daily dose: 1 1/2 film-coated tablets (equivalent to 600 mg ibuprofen).

Children between 10 and 11 years (30 - 39 kg): Half a film-coated tablet (equivalent to 200 mg ibuprofen) as a single dose, maximum total daily dose: 2 film-coated tablets (equivalent to 800 mg ibuprofen).

Adolescents aged 12 and over and adults (from 40 kg): One film-coated tablet (corresponding to 400 mg ibuprofen) as a single dose, maximum total daily dose: 3 film-coated tablets (corresponding to 1200 mg ibuprofen).

Wait at least 6 hours before taking the next dose, if necessary.Do not take more than recommended.The tablet can be divided into equal doses.Please take Dolormin Migraine film-coated tablets whole with plenty of liquid (e.g. a glass of water). For patients who have a sensitive stomach, it is recommended to take Dolormin Migraine film-coated tablets during meals.

For short-term use only.Ask your doctor for advice if you need to take Dolormin Migraine film-coated tablets for more than 3 days or if your symptoms worsen.If you have taken more Dolormin Migraine film-coated tablets than you should, always contact a doctor or hospital in your area to get an assessment of the risk and advice on further treatment.

What side effects are possible?

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everyone gets them.Possible side effects include gastrointestinal complaints such as heartburn, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, flatulence, diarrhea, constipation and minor gastrointestinal blood loss, which in exceptional cases can cause anemia.Occasionally, hypersensitivity reactions with skin rashes and itchy skin, asthma attacks, possibly with a drop in blood pressure, central nervous disorders such as headaches, dizziness, insomnia, agitation, irritability or tiredness, visual disturbances, gastrointestinal ulcers, inflammation of the oral mucosa with ulceration, worsening of colitis or Crohn's disease, inflammation of the gastric mucosa and various skin rashes can occur.Rarely, ringing in the ears (tinnitus) and kidney tissue damage can occur.Very rarely, severe skin reactions, blood formation disorders, severe general hypersensitivity reactions, psychotic reactions, depression, palpitations, heart muscle weakness, heart attack, high blood pressure, inflammation of the esophagus and pancreas, formation of membrane-like narrowings in the small and large intestine, liver dysfunction, liver damage, hair loss, reduction in urine output and increased water retention in the tissue (edema) as well as general malaise can occur.

Keep this medicine out of the reach and reach of children.You must not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the carton and blister.Do not store the medicine above 25°C.Never dispose of medicines via wastewater.Ask your pharmacy how to throw away medicine when you no longer use it.

Dolormin Migraine film-coated tablets are white, capsule-shaped film-coated tablets with a score line and an embossed "D" on each side and half of the tablet.The film-coated tablets are approx. 19 mm long.The tablet can be divided into equal doses.Dolormin Migraine film-coated tablets are available in blister packs containing 10, 15, 20, 30, 40 and 50 film-coated tablets.

Dosage and instructions for use:

Children aged 6-9 years (weighing 20-29 kg) can take half a tablet 1-3 times a day with an interval of 6 hours.Children aged 10-11 years (weighing 30-39 kg) can take half a tablet 1-4 times a day with an interval of 6 hours.Adolescents aged 12 and over and adults (over 40 kg body weight) can take one tablet 1-3 times a day with an interval of 6 hours.The total dose should not be exceeded without consulting a doctor or pharmacist.Take the medicine with liquid (e.g. 1 glass of water).You should not use the medicine for longer than 3 days without medical advice.If symptoms persist for a long time, medical advice should be sought.

Contraindications:

Dolormin Migraine film-coated tablets must not be taken if you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients, have existing or developed stomach or intestinal ulcers, stomach or intestinal bleeding, severe liver or kidney dysfunction, severe heart problems, in the last 3 months of pregnancy and in children under 20 kg (6 years).Please note further contraindications in the package insert.

Side effects:

Possible side effects include gastrointestinal complaints such as nausea, vomiting, heartburn, flatulence, diarrhea, constipation, abdominal pain, bleeding in the gastrointestinal area, tarry stools, gastritis, ulcers in the digestive tract, headache, dizziness, insomnia, tiredness, irritability, agitation, skin hypersensitivity reactions such as rash and itching, attacks of shortness of breath, visual disturbances.If you notice any discomfort or change during treatment, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

How it works:
