Instructions for use of Dolormin migraine film-coated tablets

Dolormin Migraine film-coated tablets contain the active ingredient ibuprofen in the form of ibuprofen-DL-lysine.These film-coated tablets are an analgesic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory drug that is used for the symptomatic treatment of the acute headache phase of migraines with and without aura.The product is suitable for children weighing 20 kg or more (6 years and older), teenagers and adults.No prescription is required for this product.

Important notes

Dolormin Migraine film-coated tablets must not be taken if you are allergic to ibuprofen or any of the other ingredients of the medicine.The medicine should also not be used if you have certain previous illnesses or in specific situations, such as existing or previously occurring stomach or intestinal ulcers, bleeding, severe liver or kidney dysfunction, severe heart problems or in the last three months of pregnancy.Children under 20 kg (6 years of age) are also not allowed to take the product.

Warnings and precautions

It is important to always take Dolormin Migraine film-coated tablets exactly as described in the package leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.The lowest effective dose should be used for the shortest duration necessary to relieve symptoms.Particular attention should be paid to possible side effects in older patients.If you notice any side effects, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Application and dosage

Dolormin Migraine film-coated tablets should be taken whole with plenty of liquid.If you have a sensitive stomach, it is recommended to take it during meals.The dosage depends on the patient's body weight and age.Children between 6 and 9 years (20-29 kg) take half a film-coated tablet (200 mg ibuprofen) with a maximum daily dose of 1.5 tablets (600 mg ibuprofen).Children between 10 and 11 years (30-39 kg) also take half a film-coated tablet with a maximum daily dose of 2 tablets (800 mg ibuprofen).Adolescents aged 12 and over and adults (from 40 kg) take one whole film-coated tablet (400 mg ibuprofen) with a maximum daily dose of 3 tablets (1200 mg ibuprofen).It should not be taken for longer than 3 days without medical advice.

Side effects

Like all medicines, Dolormin Migraine Film-Coated Tablets can have side effects, although not everyone gets them.Common side effects involve the gastrointestinal tract and may include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, bloating, constipation, indigestion, abdominal pain, and gastrointestinal blood loss.Uncommon side effects may include hypersensitivity reactions with skin rashes and itching, asthma attacks, headaches, dizziness, vision problems and gastrointestinal ulcers.Rare and very rare side effects include ringing in the ears, kidney tissue damage, severe skin reactions, psychotic reactions, heart palpitations, high blood pressure and liver dysfunction.

Storage

Keep Dolormin Migraine film-coated tablets out of the reach of children and do not store the medicine above 25 °C.Do not use the medicine after the expiry date stated on the carton and blister.

Composition

One film-coated tablet of Dolormin Migraine contains 400 mg ibuprofen as ibuprofen-DL-lysine (1:1).The other ingredients are microcrystalline cellulose, povidone (K 30), magnesium stearate (vegetable), titanium dioxide, hydroxypropyl cellulose and hypromellose.
