General information about Widmer Carbamide Cream

Widmer Carbamide Cream is a skin care product with the active ingredient urea in a concentration of 12%.It is used for various skin diseases and conditions.No prescription is required for this product.

Areas of application

The cream is used for excessive keratinization of the skin, milder forms of fish scale disease (ichthyosis), as relapse prevention and long-term treatment for fish scale disease, follicular keratinization disorders and for dry, brittle and red skin.

Active ingredients and ingredients

The main active ingredient is urea with a concentration of 120 mg per gram of cream.In addition, the product contains various excipients such as retinol palmitate, dexpanthenol, POE-(1)-glycerin sorbitan isostearate, polyoxyethylene-(30)-sorbitol, white petroleum jelly, hard paraffin, cetyl PEG/PPG-10/1 dimethicone, thin paraffin, mineral wax, hydrogenated castor oil, glyceryl isostearate,Polyglyceryl-3-oleate, decyl oleate, dibutyl adipate, isopropyl myristate, propylene glycol, butane-1,3-diol, sorbitol, citric acid, all-rac-alpha tocopherol acetate, butylated hydroxyanisole, butylated hydroxytoluene, phenoxyethanol, magnesium sulfate heptahydrate and purified water.

Application and dosage

The cream should be applied to the affected skin areas once or twice a day and rubbed in lightly.The exact dosage and duration of use should be agreed individually with a doctor or pharmacist.Avoid contact with mucous membranes and eyes.

Contraindications

The cream must not be used if you are allergic to urea, propylene glycol or any of the other ingredients.The cream should also not be used on large areas in acute inflammatory skin conditions and in patients with impaired kidney function.

Side effects

In rare cases, skin irritation such as burning, redness, itching or flaking may occur.If you experience side effects, you should contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Storage

Keep the cream out of the reach of children and do not use it after the expiry date stated on the packaging.Do not dispose of the medicine in wastewater or household waste, but take it to the pharmacy for disposal.
