Area of application

Halicar® Ointment N is a homeopathic medicine that is used for various skin diseases.The areas of application correspond to the homeopathic drug picture and include inflammation of the skin with itching, such as eczema and neurodermatitis (endogenous eczema).

Mode of action

According to the principles of homeopathy, each treatment is individually tailored to the patient and his or her clinical picture.Cardiospermum halicacabum, also known as balloon vine, has proven in practice to be an effective remedy for treating skin inflammation.

Active ingredients / ingredients / ingredients

The ointment contains 100 mg of Cardiospermum halicacabum (hom./anthr.) per 10 g of ointment.Other ingredients include (RS)-2-octyldodecan-1-ol, emulsifying cetostearyl alcohol (type A), thick paraffin, white petrolatum, purified water and benzyl alcohol.

Contraindications

Halicar® Ointment N must not be used if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to the active ingredient or any of the other ingredients of the ointment.

Dosage

Unless otherwise prescribed, the ointment should be applied to the affected skin areas three times a day.The ointment should be applied thinly and massaged in lightly.Homeopathic medicines should also not be used for long periods of time without medical advice.No harmful effects are to be expected if the application is discontinued.

Intake

Apply the ointment thinly to the affected skin areas and massage in lightly.

Patient information

Particular caution is required in the case of severe inflammation of the skin, skin suppuration or fever, as well as in the case of persistent, unclear or new symptoms.In these cases, medical advice should be sought.Contact of the ointment with eyes, mucous membranes and deep open wounds should be avoided.After applying the ointment, hands should be cleaned.No special precautions are required when driving or using machines.

Before using any medicine during pregnancy or breastfeeding, ask your doctor for advice.

Other

If you have severe inflammation of the skin, skin suppuration or fever, or if you have persistent, unclear or new symptoms, you should consult a doctor.When using the drug, the existing symptoms may temporarily worsen (initial aggravation).In this case, the medicine should no longer be used and the doctor should be consulted.

Storage

Halicar® Ointment N can be used up to 12 months after opening the tube.Medicines should be kept out of the reach of children.You must not use the medicine after the expiry date stated on the container and outer packaging.
