Instructions for use of Calendumed Ointment N

Calendumed Ointment N is a homeopathic medicine for use in various skin diseases.The active ingredient is calendula mother tincture.The areas of application include skin suppurations, poorly healing wounds, crush, tear and defect wounds as well as burns and frostbite of the skin.No prescription is required for this product.

Important notes

Calendumed Ointment N contains cetostearyl alcohol, which can cause skin irritation.The medicine must not be used if you are hypersensitive to calendula, other composite plants or any of the other ingredients.

Areas of application

Calendumed Ointment N is used for skin diseases.These include skin suppurations, wounds that heal poorly, bruises, tears and defects as well as burns and frostbite of the skin.The areas of application correspond to the homeopathic drug picture.

Application and dosage

Unless otherwise prescribed, Calendumed Ointment N should be applied to the affected skin areas 1 to 3 times daily.The ointment should be applied thinly.Homeopathic medicines should also not be used for long periods of time without medical advice.If you stop using it, no harmful effects are expected.

Side effects

Like all medicines, Calendumed Ointment N can cause side effects, although not everyone gets them.In rare cases, local skin intolerance reactions may occur.Cetylstearyl alcohol can cause localized skin irritation.When using homeopathic medicines, the existing symptoms can temporarily worsen (initial aggravation).In this case you should stop taking the medicine and consult your doctor.

Special Notes

If you have severe inflammation of the skin, fever, or persistent, unclear or new symptoms, you should consult a doctor.Large burns generally require medical treatment.Contact of the ointment with eyes, mucous membranes and deep, open wounds should be avoided.After applying the ointment, hands should be cleaned.

Storage

This medicine does not require any special storage conditions.The medicine should be used within 12 months of opening.Medicines should be kept out of the reach of children.
