Instructions for use of Calendumed Ointment N

Calendumed Ointment N is a homeopathic medicine for the treatment of skin diseases.The active ingredient is calendula mother tincture.The ointment is used for skin suppurations, poorly healing wounds, bruises, lacerations and defect wounds as well as for burns and frostbite of the skin.No prescription is required for this product.

Active ingredients and ingredients

Calendumed Ointment N contains 1.0 g calendula mother tincture in 10 g ointment.The other ingredients are benzyl alcohol, emulsifying cetostearyl alcohol, thick paraffin, octyldodecanol, white petroleum jelly and purified water.The ointment is slightly yellowish to greenish-yellow and is used externally on the skin.

Application and dosage

Calendumed Ointment N should be applied thinly to the affected skin areas 1 to 3 times a day.Homeopathic medicines should also not be used for long periods of time without medical advice.If you stop using it, no harmful effects are expected.If you have any further questions about use, please contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Contraindications and precautions

Calendumed Ointment N must not be used if you are hypersensitive to calendula, other composite plants or any of the other ingredients.If you have severe inflammation of the skin, fever, or persistent, unclear or new symptoms, you should consult a doctor.Large burns generally require medical treatment.Contact of the ointment with eyes, mucous membranes and deep, open wounds should be avoided.After applying the ointment, hands should be cleaned.

Side effects

Like all medicines, Calendumed Ointment N can cause side effects, although not everyone gets them.In rare cases, local skin intolerance reactions may occur.Cetylstearyl alcohol can cause localized skin irritation.When using homeopathic medicines, the existing symptoms can temporarily worsen (initial aggravation).In this case you should stop taking the medicine and consult your doctor.

Storage

This medicine does not require any special storage conditions.The medicine has a shelf life of 12 months after opening.Medicines must be kept out of the reach of children and must not be used after the expiry date stated on the container and outer packaging.
