Instructions for use for Birkenkohle Comp.Hard capsules
Birch Charcoal Comp.Hard capsules are an anthroposophical medicine for the treatment of acute digestive disorders such as flatulence, intestinal cramps and diarrhea.No prescription is required for this product.
Active ingredients and composition
Each hard capsule contains the following active ingredients: 27 mg Antimonit Trit.D2, 232 mg Carbo Betulae and 11 mg Chamomilla recutita, Radix, ethanol.Decoctum Ø.The preparation also contains lactose monohydrate, sorbitol solution 70% and gelatin as a capsule shell.
Areas of application
Birch Charcoal Comp.is used in accordance with anthroposophical knowledge of humanity and nature for acute digestive disorders.These include flatulence, intestinal cramps and diarrhea.
Dosage and application
The usual dosage is one hard capsule 3 to 5 times a day, which is taken whole and with plenty of liquid.The application should not last longer than two weeks.If a dose is missed, the next dose should be taken as usual without making up for the missed dose.
Precautions and warnings
Birch Charcoal Comp.must not be taken if there is hypersensitivity to chamomile or other composite plants or to any of the other ingredients.If symptoms persist or are unclear, a doctor should be consulted.The preparation should not be used in infants and small children under 6 years of age.Its use is also not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
There are no known interactions with other medicines.However, due to the adsorption capacity of Carbo Betulae, the effect of other medicines may be affected.Patients should inform their doctor or pharmacist if they are taking other medicines.
Birch Charcoal Comp.contains lactose.Patients with an intolerance to certain sugars should only take the medicine after consulting their doctor.
Side effects
So far there are no known side effects.If side effects occur, patients should inform their doctor or pharmacist.
Storage
The medicine should not be used after the expiry date stated on the blister pack and carton.
