Instructions for use of Solum ointment

Solum ointment is an anthroposophical medicine that contributes to stimulating the heat organization and harmonizing the sensory organization.It is used for rheumatic diseases, sensitivity to weather, spinal syndromes and nerve pain (neuralgia).No prescription is required for this product.

Active ingredients and composition

The ointment contains the following active ingredients: Aesculus hippocastanum e semine LA 25% sicc., Equisetum arvense ex herba LA 20% and Solum uliginosum, aqueous extract (peat extract).Other ingredients include refined peanut oil, white petroleum jelly and wool wax.10 g of the ointment contains: Aesculus hippocastanum e semine LA 25% sicc.0.02 g, Equisetum arvense ex herba LA 20% 0.02 g and Solum uliginosum, aqueous extract 1.96 g.

Areas of application

Solum ointment is used according to the anthroposophical knowledge of man and nature for rheumatic diseases, sensitivity to weather, spinal syndromes and nerve pain (neuralgia).

Contraindications

The ointment must not be used if there is inflammation or injury to the skin or if there is hypersensitivity to peanut oil, soy or any of the other ingredients.

Precautions and warnings

In acute conditions with redness, swelling or overheating of joints, a doctor should be consulted.Even if the symptoms persist or are unclear, a medical evaluation is required.There is no adequately documented experience with use in children under 12 years of age, so the ointment should not be used at this age.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

Like all medicines, Solum ointment should only be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding after consulting a doctor.Wool wax can cause localized skin irritation.

Interactions

To date, there are no known interactions with other medications.

Dosage and method of administration

The ointment should be rubbed locally 1 to 2 times daily unless otherwise prescribed.The duration of treatment for chronic diseases should be discussed with a doctor.

Side effects

Peanut oil can rarely cause severe allergic reactions.

Storage instructions

Do not use the medicine after the expiry date stated on the container and the outer packaging.Do not store/keep above 30°C!
