Instructions for use of Rhus Toxicodendron ointment

Rhus Toxicodendron ointment is an anthroposophic medicine that is used for painful diseases of the musculoskeletal system.The active ingredient in this preparation is Toxicodendron quercifolium e foliis ferm 33d Ø.This remedy is used according to the anthroposophical knowledge of man and nature and can help with joint inflammation, muscle pain, nerve pain, nerve inflammation and herpetiform skin diseases.

Areas of application

The ointment is used for various painful diseases of the musculoskeletal system.These include joint inflammation, including the spine, muscle pain, nerve pain and nerve inflammation as well as herpetiform skin diseases.

Contraindications

Rhus Toxicodendron Ointment must not be used if you are hypersensitive to Rhus Toxicodendron, peanut oil, soy or any of the other ingredients.The product should also not be used if you have a known allergy to poisonous sumac plants.

Precautions and warnings

If symptoms persist or are unclear, you should consult a doctor.The ointment contains substances that can often cause allergies when used over a long period of time in patients with poorly healing wounds or ulcers.Therefore, pay particular attention to the appearance of itching, redness and swelling of the surrounding skin when using the ointment on long-standing wounds.If you notice any such symptoms, please stop use and consult your doctor.Wool wax can cause localized skin irritation.

Interactions

To date, there are no known interactions with other agents.

Dosage and method of administration

Unless otherwise prescribed, the ointment should be applied once or twice daily or used as an ointment bandage.

Duration of application

Treatment of an acute illness should be completed after 2 weeks.If there is no improvement within 2-5 days, see a doctor.The duration of treatment for chronic illnesses should be discussed with a doctor.

Side effects

Peanut oil can rarely cause severe allergic reactions.If you are hypersensitive to components of Rhus Toxicodendron ointment, especially wool wax alcohols, allergic reactions may occur.If skin redness occurs, possibly associated with itching, you should stop using it and, if necessary, consult your doctor.

Composition

10 g of the ointment contains 0.1 g of the active ingredient Toxicodendron quercifolium e foliis ferm 33d Ø.The other ingredients are refined peanut oil, white petroleum jelly, purified water and wool wax.

The ointment is available in a pack size of 30 g.
