Contraindications

Voltaren pain gel forte should not be used if you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients.It must not be used in the last trimester of pregnancy and is not suitable for children under 14 years of age.The gel should not be applied to open wounds and is only intended for external use on intact skin.

Dosage

Voltaren pain gel forte should be used twice a day, preferably in the morning and evening.A cherry to walnut-sized amount (1-4g gel) is applied thinly to the painful area and massaged in lightly.The gel should dry on the skin for a few minutes before covering the area again with clothing or applying a bandage.Hands should be washed afterwards unless they are the area to be treated.The duration of use depends on the symptoms and should not be longer than 1-3 weeks without medical advice.

Intake

The gel is intended for use on the skin only and must not be ingested.It should be applied thinly to the affected area of the body and massaged in gently.Hands should then be wiped with a paper towel and then washed unless they are the area to be treated.The paper towel should be disposed of in the trash.If too much gel is accidentally applied, the excess gel should be wiped off with a paper towel and disposed of in the trash.Before dressing or applying a bandage, the gel should dry on the skin for a few minutes.If you shower or bathe, you should only use the pain gel afterwards.

Patient information

Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using the medicine.The gel may only be applied to intact, not diseased or injured skin.A bandage can be used, but the use of an occlusive bandage is not recommended.Particular caution is required in acute conditions with severe redness, swelling or overheating of joints, persistent joint problems or severe back pain.If symptoms do not improve after 3-5 days or worsen, a doctor should be consulted.Patients with asthma, hay fever or swollen nasal mucous membranes should only use the medicine under medical supervision.If a rash occurs during treatment, discontinue treatment.Make sure that children do not let their hands come into contact with rubbed areas of skin.
