Area of application

Cod liver oil Lamotte is used to prevent rickets and treat vitamin deficiencies during pregnancy and breastfeeding.It serves to prevent bone metabolism disorders caused by vitamin D deficiency and compensates for a vitamin deficiency during these special phases of life.

Mode of action

Lamotte cod liver oil is a fish liver oil that is obtained from fatty fish from the North Atlantic.It contains essential omega-3 fatty acids, which the body cannot produce itself and which are required for numerous metabolic processes.These fatty acids particularly promote cardiovascular health.Lamotte cod liver oil also has a high content of vitamins A and D. Vitamin D is essential for healthy bone development in children and helps prevent bone demineralization in adults.

100 g of cod liver oil Lamotte contains 100 g of cod liver oil with at least 15% omega-3 fatty acids.

Contraindications

Cod liver oil Lamotte must not be used if there is an increased calcium plasma level, increased calcium excretion via the kidneys and if other medicines containing vitamin D are taken at the same time.

Dosage

If necessary, infants take 1 teaspoon (5 ml), toddlers 1-2 teaspoons (5-10 ml) and adolescents/adults take up to 1 tablespoon (20 ml) of Lamotte cod liver oil daily.Pregnant women should not take more than one tablespoon daily during the first three months of pregnancy.

Storage
