Folio 1 forte film-coated tablets are a dietary supplement that was specially developed for women who want to have children and pregnant women up to the end of the 12th week of pregnancy.This product is available without a prescription.It contains important micronutrients such as folic acid, vitamin B12, vitamin D3 and iodine, which play a special role during this important phase of life.

Application and dosage

The recommended dosage is one mini-tablet daily.This should be taken whole with some liquid, preferably during a meal or snack.It should be taken from the time you want to have children until the end of the 12th week of pregnancy.From the 13th week of pregnancy and during breastfeeding, the need for folic acid, vitamin B12, vitamin D3 and iodine can be further covered with Folio®.

Mode of action

During pregnancy, the need for certain vitamins and minerals increases.Folio 1 forte film-coated tablets contain folic acid, which is particularly important for the baby's early development, as well as vitamin B12, vitamin D3 and iodine.These nutrients support the healthy development of the child and the health of the mother.

Ingredients and nutritional declaration

Each tablet contains 800 µg folic acid (400% of the reference amount), 150 µg iodine (100% of the reference amount), 20 µg vitamin D3 (400% of the reference amount, equivalent to 800 IU) and 9 µg vitamin B12 (360% of the reference amount).The reference quantities are based on LMIV (Food Information Regulation).

The ingredients include fillers such as cellulose and monocalcium phosphate, dextrose, coating agents such as hydroxypropylmethylcellulose, anti-caking agents such as magnesium salts of fatty acids, as well as the active ingredients pteroylmonoglutamic acid (folic acid), potassium iodide, cholecalciferol (vitamin D3) and cyanocobalamin (vitamin B12).

Allergens and special information

Folio 1 forte film-coated tablets are gluten-free, lactose-free, fructose, nanoparticles, preservatives, colorings and flavorings.They do not contain any animal ingredients.The tablets are sensitive to moisture and should therefore be stored dry, not above 25°C and out of the reach of small children.Storing in the bathroom or refrigerator is not recommended.

For users of hormonal contraceptives, which are known as “folic acid robbers”, it makes sense to take additional folic acid.For people who have to avoid iodine for medical reasons, there are also iodine-free versions of Folio®.
