Vitamin B12 is an important partner of folic acid because both vitamins work together.Vitamin B12 is only found in animal foods, so getting enough of it can be difficult if you have a meat-free or low-meat diet.Vitamin B12 supports the formation of red blood cells, energy metabolism and the normal function of the immune and nervous systems.

90% Of vitamin D3 is produced in the skin through exposure to sunlight.It supports the maintenance of normal bones and muscle functions and contributes to a normally functioning immune system.

Iodine is a mineral that supports the production of thyroid hormones.These hormones are vital and important for development.Iodine also helps the nervous system and energy metabolism function normally and normal skin is maintained.

Mode of action

A daily tablet of Folio® provides you with the required amounts of folic acid, vitamin B12, vitamin D3 and iodine.If you want to have children and during the first trimester of pregnancy, it makes sense to consume even more folic acid.Folio® forte is available to you for this purpose.

Folio 2 film-coated tablets contains per tablet:

Folic acid 400 µg, iodine 150 µg, vitamin D3 20 µg / 800 I.U., vitamin B12 9 µg

Ingredients: Cellulose, monocalcium phosphate, glucose, hydroxypropylmethylcellulose, magnesium salts of fatty acids (vegetable), pteroylmonoglutamic acid (folic acid), potassium iodide, cholecalciferol (vitamin D3), cyanocobalamin (vitamin B12)

Contraindications

If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients mentioned, this product should not be used.

Dosage

Take one mini-tablet of Folio® whole once a day with a little liquid during a meal or snack.No prescription is required for this product.

After you have used Folio® forte until the end of the 12th week of pregnancy, you can continue to supplement your vitamin and iodine supply with Folio® from the 13th week of pregnancy.Your breastfed baby receives these nutrients through breast milk.Therefore, make sure you get enough vitamins and iodine, even while breastfeeding!

Notes

Folio 2 film-coated tablets are gluten- and lactose-free as well as fructose, nanoparticles, preservatives, animal ingredients, colors and flavorings.

The tablets must be stored dry, not above 25°C and out of the reach of small children.Since the tablets are sensitive to moisture, storing them in the bathroom or refrigerator should be avoided.

The Folio® products can be taken together with Nausema®.For those who have to forgo additional intake of iodine for certain medical reasons, Folio® products are also available without iodine (Folio® forte iodine-free/ Folio® iodine-free).An extra portion of folic acid is also useful for users of hormonal contraceptives (“folic acid robbers”).

Because there are no dyes, the inherent color of the nutrients it contains is visible.Folic acid gives the tablets a yellow base color.Dots that appear purple to black are due to the inherent color of vitamin B12.
