Medela milk collecting cups are a practical solution if milk leaks from the other breast during breastfeeding.These drip trays help collect the excess milk and prevent wet stains on clothing.

Application

To use the milk collection cups, pull the silicone pad around the cup until it fits properly.Place the assembled milk collection cup into your bra so that the opening of the silicone pad is exactly over the nipple.It is recommended to wear a nursing bra as it is larger and the milk collection cup puts less pressure on the breast.Make sure that the spout of the bowl is always facing upwards when carrying it.When removing the shells from the breast, it is best to bend forward a little.The collected milk can be emptied using the drain.

No prescription is required for this product.

Only the milk collected during breastfeeding may be given to the baby.If not given to the baby straight away, place in the fridge immediately and use within 24 hours.To prevent moisture buildup, it is recommended to remove the milk collection tray every 2-3 hours and air dry the breasts.

Cleaning instructions

Before first use and once a day, you should place the disassembled milk collecting tray in a small pot with cold, if possible distilled, water.If tap water is used, some citric acid can be added to the water to prevent limescale formation.Cook the pieces for about 5 minutes.Pour off the water and rinse the parts thoroughly.To dry, place the parts on a clean cloth.

After each use, you should clean the disassembled milk collecting tray with a mild washing-up solution, rinse thoroughly with cold water and dry on a clean cloth.

Bowls and silicone pads can be cleaned in the dishwasher or sterilized in an autoclave.
