Medela's hydrogel pads offer quick help for sore and cracked nipples and relieve pain.They act as a protective and cooling cushion on the skin, promoting healing by retaining moisture and keeping the skin supple.The pads are sterile, individually wrapped and can be reused within 24 hours.

Application of the hydrogel pads

Wash your hands thoroughly before use.Open the packaging and remove the gel pad from the plastic wrap.Gently place the gel side of the pad directly on the nipple.Do not use the pad if the packaging is already opened or damaged.Before breastfeeding, remove the gel pad and place it on a clean surface.Gently clean the breast with warm water and pat dry before you start breastfeeding.After breastfeeding, place the gel pad back on the nipple.

Do not clean the pad with soaps or detergents.Store the gel pads in a cool and dry place.For an enhanced cooling effect, you can store the pads in the refrigerator.If the gel pad becomes cloudy or milky, discard it and use a new one.Optionally, you can briefly hold the gel side of the pad under cold running water, shake off the water and set the pad aside for 2 minutes.Do not rinse the pad more than twice daily.
