Instructions for use for the Medela SpecialNeeds vacuum cleaner

The Medela SpecialNeeds teat has been specially developed for babies who cannot create a vacuum due to certain syndromes, neurological diseases or a cleft lip and palate.This teat allows compression to be used to suck liquid.A return valve prevents air from entering the teat, while a slot valve allows the milk flow to be easily regulated.

A marking line on the vacuum helps you find the right position, with three different flow speeds to choose from.Thanks to the slit valve, the teat reacts to even the slightest suction efforts and closes completely when the baby wants to take a break.The SpecialNeeds vacuum cleaner is available in a standard size, but can be replaced with a Mini SpecialNeeds vacuum cleaner if necessary.

No prescription is required for this product.The vacuum cleaner can be reused after cleaning according to the instructions for use.Only use drinking water quality water for cleaning.Prepare all parts before first use and clean immediately after use.Disassemble the vacuum cleaner into its individual parts and separate the yellow valve plate from the vacuum cleaner and the white membrane from the valve plate.

Dispose of any remaining milk from the teat by holding the teat over the sink and carefully screwing on the lid with a hole.Rinse all parts with cold water and clean with warm, soapy water and a commercial detergent, preferably without artificial fragrances or dyes.Rinse the parts again with cold water and dry with a clean cloth or allow to dry on a clean cloth.

The teat and the valve membrane are made of silicone, while the remaining parts are made of polypropylene.
