Instructions for use for the Medela milk bottle 250 ml with teat size M

The Medela milk bottle with teat size M is versatile and is suitable for collecting, storing and feeding breast milk.The bottle is shatterproof and comes in 250ml size with a medium flow teat.Replacement vacuum cleaners can be purchased separately.

Material

The bottle and teat are made of silicone.Medela breast milk bottles are BPA-free, dishwasher and microwave safe.They fit every Medela breast pump and teat.

Cleaning and hygiene

Use drinking water quality for all cleaning procedures described below.Clean the parts immediately after pumping to prevent milk residue from drying out and bacteria from growing.Be careful not to damage the parts when using a brush.Before each use, inspect all components and replace any damaged or worn parts.For hygiene reasons, we recommend replacing vacuum cleaners after 3 months.

After each use, all parts should be disassembled and cleaned with warm, soapy water.Rinse the parts with clean water and dry them with a clean cloth.Store cleaned parts in a clean, sealable plastic bag or container with a lid.They can also be wrapped in a clean paper or cloth towel.Avoid touching the inside of bottles and lids and do not expose the parts to direct sunlight.

Preparation before first use and daily cleaning

Before first use and once daily, all parts should be disassembled, washed and rinsed.Place the parts in a sufficiently large pot and fill it with cold water until all parts are covered.To prevent limescale deposits, you can add a teaspoon of citric acid.Heat the water and let it boil for 5 minutes.Remove the pot from the heat and pour off the water.Dry the parts with a clean cloth.

As an alternative to boiling, you can clean the items in the dishwasher in the top rack or use Medela Quick CleanT microwave bags or other microwave-safe tools.When using a steam sterilizer, follow the manufacturer's instructions for use.

Notes

Food dyes can discolor parts, but this has no influence on function.Follow these cleaning instructions unless your healthcare professional tells you otherwise.Do not expose the vacuum to direct sunlight or heat or leave it in disinfectant ("sterilizing solution") for longer than the recommended period of time, as this could adversely affect the vacuum.
