Instructions for use for Stannum Met. Ointment 5%

Stannum metallicum 5% ointment is an anthroposophical medicine that is used for inflammatory and degenerative diseases.According to the anthroposophical knowledge of humanity and nature, it is used to stimulate rhythmic balancing processes in inflammatory and degenerative hardening diseases.This includes in particular the avoidance of chronic secretions, such as those that can occur with effusions in body cavities and joints.It is also used for liver diseases with a hardening tendency and as an additional treatment for depressive moods, especially if these are accompanied by mental rigidity.

The medicine should not be used without medical advice and does not replace other medicines prescribed by a doctor.If you have persistent or unclear symptoms, please consult a doctor.Children under 12 years of age should not use Stannum metallicum 5% as there is no sufficiently documented experience.Stannum metallicum 0.4% is available for children aged 4 to 12.It should also not be used in children aged 12 and over and adolescents up to 18 years old without medical advice.

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you should consult your doctor before using any medicine.There are no known interactions with other medicines.However, please inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are using or have recently used any other medicines, even if they are non-prescription medicines.

Application

Always use Stannum metallicum 5% exactly as your doctor has told you.To use as an ointment cloth, a piece of linen or cotton fabric is thinly coated with the ointment, placed on the corresponding part of the body with the ointment side and attached.The ointment cloth can be used several times.After 3 to 4 uses, some ointment should be applied again.The duration of use depends on the course of the disease.If you have known chronic illnesses, you should take a break after 4 to 6 weeks of use.If you forget to use it, do not use a double dose.

Side effects and composition

There are no known side effects.The composition of 10 g of ointment includes 0.5 g of the active ingredient Stannum metallicum as well as the ointment base, which consists of thick paraffin, Protegin WX (yellow petroleum jelly, ceresin, hydrogenated castor oil, glycerol monoisostearate, polyglycerol-3-oleate), yellow petroleum jelly and purified water.

You must not use the medicine after the expiry date stated on the tube and carton.Storage conditions: Do not store above 25°C.
