Area of application
Plantago bronchial balm is an anthroposophical medicine used for coughs and bronchitis.The areas of application include catarrhal-inflammatory diseases of the respiratory tract, according to anthroposophical knowledge of humanity and nature.
Active ingredients / ingredients / ingredients
The ointment contains the following active ingredients: 20 mg camphor, 10 mg Drosera e planta tota ferm 33c (hom./anthr.), 5 mg eucalyptus oil, 50 mg larch turpentine, 10 mg Petasites e radice ferm 33c (hom./anthr.), 10 mg Plantago e foliis ferm 34c (hom./anthr.), 5 mgThyme oil and Plantago comp.(Hom./Anthr.).Other ingredients include 150 mg yellow wax, refined peanut oil, ethanol 96% (V/V), purified water and wool wax.
Contraindications
Plantago bronchial balm must not be used in children under 2 years of age, in cases of hypersensitivity to camphor, eucalyptus oil, cineole, thyme or other mint plants (Lamiaceae), birch, mugwort, celery or other active ingredients, as well as in cases of bronchial asthma or other respiratory diseases with pronounced hypersensitivity of the respiratory tract.Its use is also prohibited if you are hypersensitive to any of the other ingredients.The medicine must not be applied to skin diseases, open wounds or injured skin.
Dosage
Unless otherwise prescribed, the ointment should be rubbed on the chest and back once or twice a day.For chronic bronchitis, use at least twice a week is recommended.Treatment should be completed after 2 weeks.If acute inflammation does not improve after 2 days, a doctor should be consulted.The duration of treatment for chronic illnesses should be discussed with a doctor.
Intake
The ointment is rubbed on the chest and back once or twice a day.If you have chronic bronchitis, you should use it at least twice a week.
Patient information
The medicine contains substances that can lead to intolerance reactions if you are hypersensitive to essential oils or mint plants (Lamiaceae).Watch for itching, redness, and swelling of the skin.If you experience such symptoms, you should stop using it and consult a doctor.Avoid contact with mucous membranes and clean hands after use.If symptoms persist or are unclear, a doctor should be consulted.If a child accidentally swallows the product, seek medical attention immediately without inducing vomiting.
Pregnancy
Like all medicines, Plantago bronchial balm should only be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding after consulting a doctor.Breastfeeding women should not apply the medicine to the breast area.
