Plantago bronchial balm
Plantago bronchial balm is an anthroposophical medicine used for coughs and bronchitis.The areas of application arise from the anthroposophical knowledge of humanity and nature and include catarrhal-inflammatory diseases of the respiratory tract.No prescription is required for this product.
Active ingredients and ingredients
The ointment contains the following active ingredients: D-camphor, Cera flava, Drosera e planta tota ferm 33c Dil.D3, Eucalypti aetheroleum, Petasites hybridus and radice ferm 33c Dil.D1, Plantago lanceolata e foliis ferm 34c Dil.D1, Terebinthina laricina and Thymi aetheroleum.Other ingredients include refined peanut oil, ethanol 96%, purified water and wool wax.
Contraindications
Plantago bronchial balm must not be used in children under 2 years of age, in cases of hypersensitivity to the active ingredients or other ingredients, in cases of bronchial asthma or other respiratory diseases with pronounced hypersensitivity of the airways, as well as in cases of skin diseases, open wounds or injured skin.
Dosage and method of administration
Unless otherwise prescribed, the ointment should be rubbed on the chest and back once or twice a day.For chronic bronchitis, it is recommended to use it at least twice a week.Treatment should be completed after 2 weeks.If there is acute inflammation and there is no improvement after 2 days, a doctor should be consulted.The duration of treatment for chronic illnesses should be discussed with a doctor.
Patient information
The medicine contains substances that can lead to intolerance reactions if you are hypersensitive to essential oils or mint plants.If you experience itching, redness or swelling of the skin, you should stop using it and consult a doctor.Contact with mucous membranes should be avoided and hands should be cleaned after use.If symptoms persist or are unclear, a doctor should be consulted.In the event of accidental ingestion by a child, medical attention should be sought immediately without inducing vomiting.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
Like all medicines, Plantago bronchial balm should only be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding after consulting a doctor.Breastfeeding women should not apply the medicine to the breast area.
Side effects
In very rare cases, eczema, skin rashes, redness of the skin, exanthema, contact dermatitis and allergies can occur during use.In rare cases, skin irritation or hypersensitivity may occur.Peanut oil can rarely cause severe allergic reactions.In these cases, use should be stopped and a doctor consulted.Respiratory distress can occur in sensitized patients.
Additional information
Do not use the medicine after the expiry date stated on the container and the outer packaging.Do not store/keep above 25 °C!Shelf life of 4 months after opening.
