Instructions for use of Gencydo 3%

Gencydo 3% is an anthroposophic medicine used to treat and prevent allergic diseases, especially those of the respiratory tract such as hay fever.No prescription is required for this product.

Areas of application

Gencydo is used in accordance with anthroposophical knowledge of humanity and nature to treat and prevent allergic diseases, especially of the respiratory tract.These include, for example, hay fever.

Precautions

Gencydo injection solutions must not be used if you are hypersensitive to citrus fruits.If you have persistent, unclear or new symptoms, please consult a doctor.Gencydo injection solutions are not suitable for use in infants as there is insufficient documented experience.Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before use during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.There are no known interactions with other medicines.

Application

Always use Gencydo exactly as your doctor has told you.The injection solutions are either injected subcutaneously or inhaled.Inhalation treatment and the selection of a suitable nebulizer should only be carried out after consulting a doctor.The usual dose and method of administration depend on the age and concentration of the preparation.If possible, preventative treatment should begin in January or February.The treating doctor decides the duration of use.

Side effects

Like all medicines, Gencydo injection solutions can have side effects.Irritation symptoms very often occur around the injection site when injecting Gencydo 3%, 5% and 7%.These are desirable and are part of the therapeutic principle of action of the preparation.There are no known side effects for Gencydo 0.1% and 1%.If you notice any side effects, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Composition

Gencydo 3% contains per ampoule: Citrus limon, Succus 24 - 36 mg corresponding to 1.95 mg of fruit acids, calculated as citric acid, aqueous extract of Cydonia oblonga, Fructus rec.(1:2.1) 30 mg.Other ingredients include sodium chloride and water for injections.

Storage

The medicine must not be used after the expiry date stated on the ampoules and carton.Do not store the medicine above 25°C.
