Instructions for use of Polygonatum Officinale 5% ointment

Polygonatum officinale 5% ointment is a homeopathic medicine of the anthroposophical therapy direction.It contains the active ingredient Polygonatum odoratum, Rhizoma Ø (HAB, V. 3c) in a concentration of 1.5 g per 10 g of ointment.No prescription is required for this product.

Areas of application

Polygonatum officinale 5% ointment is a registered homeopathic medicine and is therefore used without specifying a therapeutic indication.If symptoms do not improve during use, medical advice should be sought.

Contraindications

The ointment should not be used if there is hypersensitivity to sesame oil or any of the other ingredients.

Precautions when using

The ointment should not be used in children under 12 years of age as there is insufficient experience.During pregnancy and breastfeeding, it should only be used after consulting a doctor.

Important information about certain components

Wool wax and wool wax alcohols can trigger localized skin reactions.Butylhydroxytoluene, which is contained in wool wax alcohols, can cause skin irritation, eye irritation and mucous membrane irritation.

Interactions with other medicines

To date, there are no known interactions with other medicines.

The duration of treatment should be determined in consultation with a doctor.

Side effects

In rare cases, sesame oil can cause severe allergic reactions.If side effects occur, a doctor or pharmacist should be consulted.

Storage instructions

The medicine should not be used after the expiry date stated on the tube and carton.It must be stored in such a way that it is not accessible to children.The storage conditions stipulate that the ointment should not be stored above 30°C.

Composition

10 g of the ointment contains 1.5 g of Polygonatum odoratum, Rhizoma Ø (HAB, V. 3c) as the active ingredient.The ointment base consists of refined sesame oil, lanolin, yellow wax, lanolin alcohols (contain butylated hydroxytoluene), purified water and ethanol 15% (m/m).

Dosage form and pack size

The ointment is available in a pack size of 25 g.
