Instructions for use of camphor St. John's wort oil
Camphor St. John's wort oil is an anthroposophical medicine that is used to stimulate heat organization for various complaints.These include rheumatic diseases, degenerative joint diseases, nerve pain and nervous heart tightness.No prescription is required for this product.
Active ingredients and composition
The active ingredients of camphor St. John's wort oil are D-camphor and an oil extract from Hypericum perforatum, Herba rec.The oil also contains refined peanut oil.10 grams (11 milliliters) of the product contains 0.25 grams of D-camphor and 1.25 grams of the oil extract.
Areas of application
Camphor St. John's wort oil is used according to anthroposophical knowledge of humanity and nature.It is used to stimulate heat organization in rheumatic diseases, degenerative joint diseases, nerve pain and nervous heart tightness.
Contraindications
Camphor St. John's wort oil must not be used on damaged skin, on children under 2 years of age, on small children in the facial area, on pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers, or if you are hypersensitive to camphor, the other active ingredient, peanut oil or soy.
Precautions and warnings
In the case of acute conditions with redness, swelling or overheating of joints, as well as persistent symptoms, a doctor should be consulted.If you experience pain in the heart area or shortness of breath, a medical evaluation is required.Contact with eyes and mucous membranes should be avoided.After use, hands should be cleaned thoroughly.For use in children aged 2-12 years, medical advice should be sought.
Interactions
To date, there are no known interactions with other medications.
Dosage and method of administration
Unless otherwise prescribed, 2-3 milliliters of the oil should be rubbed in 1 to 3 times a day.Treatment of an acute illness should be completed after 2 weeks.In the case of chronic illnesses, the duration of treatment must be agreed with the doctor.If swallowed by children, a doctor should be consulted immediately.
Side effects
Peanut oil can rarely cause severe allergic reactions.Very rarely, photosensitization or skin redness may occur, requiring discontinuation of the drug.Hypersensitivity reactions such as contact dermatitis or shortness of breath are possible.
