Rosmarinus Oleum Aeth 10% is an anthroposophical medicine in the form of a liquid bath additive.The active ingredient is Rosmarini aetheroleum, which is contained in 10% virgin olive oil.This product is available without a prescription.

Areas of application

Rosmarinus Oleum Aeth 10% is used in accordance with anthroposophical knowledge of humanity and nature.These include the stimulation of the heat organization in cases of metabolic weakness, disorders of tissue nutrition and blood circulation, rheumatic diseases, a tendency to a general feeling of cold, morning tiredness and circulatory toning.

Contraindications

This medicine must not be used in cases of bronchial asthma, whooping cough or pseudocroup, in cases of hypersensitivity to essential oils and because of the camphor content during pregnancy and in children under 2 years of age.

Precautions and warnings

In the case of major skin injuries, acute, unclear skin diseases, severe febrile and infectious diseases, heart failure and high blood pressure, full baths should only be used after consulting a doctor.If symptoms persist or are unclear, a doctor must be consulted.

Lactation

If you are breastfeeding, Rosmarinus Oleum Aeth 10% should only be used after consulting your doctor.Breastfeeding should not be carried out immediately after bathing.The skin in the breast area should be cleaned before breastfeeding.

Interactions

To date, there are no known interactions with other agents.

Dosage and method of administration

For children aged 2 to under 6 years, a maximum of 2 ml should be used per bath.The tub may not be filled more than half.For children aged 6 to under 12 years, a maximum of 3 ml per bathtub is suitable.For adults and children aged 12 and over, it is recommended to use 3 to 5 ml of liquid bath additive per bathtub with around 200 liters of water.The bath temperature should be between 35 °C and 37 °C and the bath should last about 20 minutes.

Duration of application

As a rule, oil dispersion baths are carried out approximately twice a week for 2 to 3 weeks.However, in acute illness situations, daily use can also be helpful.As an adjunctive therapy, the oil dispersion bath can also be used over a longer period of time in chronic situations after consulting your doctor.

Side effects

In rare cases, local allergic reactions such as contact dermatitis or itching may occur.In rare cases, inhaling essential oils can cause a cough.If side effects occur that are not listed in the package leaflet, they should be reported to the doctor or pharmacist.
