Instructions for use for the ash-based ointment

The Asche Basis® ointment was specially developed for sensitive and allergy-prone skin.It has a targeted effect on the surface of the skin and is extremely skin-friendly.The ointment protects against skin problems such as irritation and redness by retaining moisture and supplying special fats.Brittle skin is prone to irritation, so it's important to maintain the skin's natural oil and water content.

The Asche Basis® ointment has a high fat content (approx. 70%) and a water content of around 30%.It forms an air-permeable film on the skin that retains and enriches the natural skin moisture in the uppermost layers of the skin.The ointment relieves itching, soothes irritations and protects against skin problems.

Application recommendation

The Asche Basis® ointment is recommended for very dry, brittle and rough skin.Apply the ointment several times as needed to vulnerable skin areas, such as hands, elbows, knees and feet.The ointment is also suitable for preventing drying or degreasing of the skin.It is particularly suitable for the care of brittle and stressed skin or after inflammatory skin diseases have subsided.

Apply the ointment before the skin can dry out or become oily, for example before a winter walk or before outdoor activities such as sports or gardening.

Causes of skin diseases

Skin problems are more common today than ever before and affect people of all ages.Eczema, inflammation, allergies or dermatoses can take a toll on the skin.Itching and pain are common side effects.Skin diseases are often visible, which can be stressful for those affected.

The skin is our outer protective covering and is constantly renewing itself.The top layer of the skin, the epidermis, renews itself approximately every four weeks.The lower layer, the basal cell layer of the epidermis, regularly adds new cells, which migrate upwards in about 28 days, becoming keratinized and dying.Together with the secretions of the sebaceous and sweat glands, these horny cells form a protective coat on the surface of the skin that protects the skin from drying out and the penetration of aggressive chemicals and pathogens.

Daily exposure to environmental influences, weather, stress and lack of sleep can seriously disrupt the balance of the skin, which can lead to skin problems.

Storage

The ointment must not be stored above 30 °C.
