The Exakt S tablet splitter enables easy, safe and reliable division of tablets with a diameter of up to approx. 10 mm.Before using the tablet splitter, you should carefully read the instructions for use.

The term "tablets" includes various dosage forms such as tablets, oblong tablets, film-coated tablets, prolonged-release tablets and tablins.Not all of these tablets may be divided.Only split tablets for which the instructions for use recommend taking half or a quarter of a tablet.Check this using the instructions for use or ask your doctor or pharmacist.

Instructions for use

Hold the tablet divider on the handles of the drawer and the housing with your thumb and forefinger and pull the drawer out as far as it will go.Place the tablet into the V-shaped slot of the tablet splitter.For tablets with a score line, you should test whether dividing them through the score line or across it produces the better result.

Slide the tray into the pill splitter housing with the pill in the center of the V-shaped slot.The tablet is then divided exactly.You can remove one half from the ejection slot by turning the tablet divider over, the other half remains in the closed storage compartment.

If your doctor has prescribed taking 1/4 tablets or this is recommended in the dosage instructions, divide the halved tablets again in the manner described.Tablets that are not to be taken immediately can remain in the tablet splitter storage compartment.

Notes

Make sure that the tablet splitter does not fall into the hands of children.No prescription is required for this product.

Cleaning the tablet splitter

Clean the tablet splitter with warm water (not above 70°C) and, if necessary, a mild detergent.Corners and niches can be cleaned with a soft brush.Never place the tablet splitter in boiling water.
