ABC Heat plaster Capsicum is a herbal medicine for the external treatment of muscle pain in adults and adolescents aged 12 and over.The active ingredient is cayenne pepper thick extract, which promotes blood circulation and relieves pain.The patch is used to relieve muscle pain, for example in the lower back.No prescription is required for this product.

Important notes

ABC Heat patch Capsicum must not be used if you are hypersensitive to cayenne pepper, capsaicinoids of other origins or any of the other ingredients of the patch.The patch must also not be applied to damaged skin or wounds.Particular caution is required in more severe cases with accompanying symptoms such as redness, swelling or overheating of joints, persistent joint problems or severe back pain with neurological symptoms.In these cases you should consult your doctor before use.

Do not place the patch near your eyes, mouth, tongue or lips.Avoid additional scratching in the application area to prevent skin injuries and avoid applying additional heat during treatment.If the heating effect is found to be too strong, stop using it.

Application

It is recommended to use a maximum of one patch per day.The patch should be used on dry, uninjured skin.Peel off the backing paper and apply the patch to the skin with the adhesive side over the painful area.The patch should remain on the skin for at least 4 and up to 12 hours.To remove the patch, lift one corner and gently peel it off.After contact with the patch, wash your hands with soap and water.Any residue left on the skin can be removed with vegetable oil, a moisturizer or cold water.You should wait at least 12 hours before applying a new patch to the same area.

Treatment should be continued until pain relief, but not longer than 3 weeks if no improvement occurs.If symptoms persist, please consult a doctor.

Side effects

Like all medicines, ABC Heat Plaster Capsicum can have side effects, although not everyone gets them.The active ingredient in the patch leads to increased local blood circulation with significant reddening of the skin and a feeling of warmth.This reaction is part of the normal effect of the medicine and usually goes away within a short time after the patch is removed.

In rare cases, hypersensitivity reactions of the skin with redness, itching and blistering may occur at the application site.If this is the case, you should remove the patch and stop treatment.If you experience a burning, stinging or itching sensation that is too severe during the first few days of treatment, discontinue use as well.

Storage

Keep the medicine out of the reach and reach of children.After removal, you should dispose of the patch in a well-closed plastic bag with household waste.After contact with the patch, wash your hands with soap and water.Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, tongue or lips.The medicine must not be used after the expiry date stated on the pack.Do not store the patch above 25°C and use it within 3 months of opening the pack.

Composition

One patch contains 395.4 - 551.7 mg thick extract of cayenne pepper (4 - 7:1), corresponding to 11.0 mg capsaicinoids, calculated as capsaicin.The other ingredients are glucose syrup, 2,2'-methylene-bis-(6-tert-butyl-4-methylphenol), 2,2'-(propane-1,2-diyldiiminodimethyl)diphenol, orris root powder/rice flour mixture, rubber, poly(butadiene block styrene) (76.5:23.5), cis-1,4-polyisoprene,Talc, beta-pinene, poly(2-methylbut-2-en-co-penta-1,3-diene), hydrogenated rosin glycerol ester, low-viscosity paraffin, wool wax (lanolin), elastic flannel (plaster carrier) and paper siliconized on one side (covering paper).

Areas of application

ABC Heat plaster Capsicum relieves muscle pain that often occurs in the lower back area.The plaster stimulates the microcirculation of the tissue for a long time and intensively and thus relieves pain.

Mode of action

The cayenne pepper extract contained in ABC Heat Plaster Capsicum activates blood circulation in the skin and muscles at the pain-active area. The corresponding muscle area is relaxed, blood circulation is promoted and the oxygen and nutrient supply to the pain area is optimized.The active component of cayenne pepper, capsaicin, blocks the transmission of pain, resulting in pain relief.

Contraindications

This product must not be used if there is a known hypersensitivity to capsicum preparations, capsaicinoids or other plaster components, as well as on damaged skin, on wounds, in acute inflammation and in children under 12 years of age.Do not apply the patches to mucous membranes or near the eyes.The patches should not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding or should only be used after a strict risk-benefit assessment by a doctor.

Dosage

Remove the protective film from the adhesive surface and apply the ABC Heat Plaster Capsicum directly over the painful area to dry, uninjured skin.Smooth the plaster and press the edges firmly.It should now remain on the skin for at least 4 to 12 hours.A new patch should not be applied to the same area until at least 12 hours after the previous one was removed.The plaster can also be cut to the appropriate size, although care should be taken to always completely cover the painful area.

Notes

ABC Capsicum heat patches should be used within 3 months of opening the pack.
