Instructions for use of Acne Oxide 5 Gel

Acne oxide gel 50 mg/g is a medicine for the treatment of acne vulgaris.The active ingredient benzoyl peroxide works against acne bacteria and improves the keratinization disorder of the skin that occurs with acne through a gentle peeling effect.No prescription is required for this product.

Important notes

Acne oxide gel 50 mg/g must not be used if you are allergic to benzoyl peroxide or any of the other ingredients.Particular caution is required in patients with atopic eczema (neurodermatitis) and dry, oily skin.Avoid contact with eyes, mucous membranes and injured skin.Intensive UV-irradiation of the treated areas of the body should be avoided as benzoyl peroxide has a bleaching effect and can damage colored textiles.

Tell your doctor or pharmacist about other medicines you use.Acne oxide gel 50 mg/g should only be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding after careful consultation with a doctor.The product should not be used in the last month of pregnancy.

Application

Always use Acne Oxide Gel 50 mg/g exactly as directed.Clean the skin thoroughly before use and apply the gel thinly to the affected skin areas.The usual dose is once or twice daily.If you have particularly sensitive skin, the gel should initially only be used once a day before going to bed.The average treatment duration is 4 to 10 weeks.

If you use more than you should, excessive drying and increased peeling of the skin may occur.In these cases, discontinue use and, if necessary, consult a doctor.If you accidentally ingest the gel, consult a doctor.

Side effects

Like all medicines, Acne Oxide Gel 50 mg/g can have side effects.At the beginning of treatment, there may be a feeling of tightness, slight redness, burning and moderate peeling of the skin.In rare cases, a hypersensitivity reaction may occur.If excessive redness and burning persist for more than 5 days, discontinue the medication and seek medical advice.

Composition

The active ingredient is benzoyl peroxide.The other ingredients are purified water, macrogol lauryl ether 4, carbomer 940, sodium hydroxide and edetic acid.

Storage

Keep the medicine out of the reach and reach of children and do not use it after the expiry date stated on the packaging.Do not store the gel above 25°C and do not use it for longer than 6 months after first opening.
