Areas of application

Active ingredients and ingredients

The medicinally active ingredients of Kodan tincture forte colorless are 2-propanol (45.0 g), 1-propanol (10.0 g) and biphenyl-2-ol (0.20 g) per 100 g of solution.The product also contains hydrogen peroxide solution 30% and purified water.The active ingredients are effective against bacteria, fungi and many viruses, including enveloped viruses.

Contraindications

Kodan tincture forte colorless must not be used if there is hypersensitivity to the active ingredients or any of the other ingredients.It should not be used for surgical hand disinfection.

Application and dosage

The product is applied undiluted.For hygienic hand disinfection, 3 ml is applied to the skin and left to act for 30 seconds.The agent should take effect for 15 seconds before injections and blood samples.When using preoperative skin antiseptics, it is recommended to remove the hair from the affected area and carry out basic preoperative washing.

Side effects

Skin irritations such as redness, burning and dryness can occur, especially with frequent use.In rare cases, contact allergic reactions are possible.

Instructions for use

Kodan tincture forte colorless is intended exclusively for external use.It should not be brought into contact with open flames or switched on electrical heat sources.The medicine should be allowed to dry before applying bandages.If you accidentally come into contact with your eyes, you should rinse immediately with plenty of water.

Storage

The medicine should be kept out of the reach of children.Once opened, it should not be used for longer than 12 months, but not beyond the expiry date stated on the packaging.No special storage conditions are required.
