Zink Hexal effervescent tablets contain the active ingredient zinc sulfate 1 H2O.This product is a mineral supplement used to treat zinc deficiency conditions when these cannot be compensated for through diet.No prescription is required for this product.

Zinc is an essential trace element that is indispensable for numerous processes in the body.It plays an important role in the immune system, growth, skin, protein synthesis and insulin storage.

Active ingredients and ingredients

Each effervescent tablet contains 69 mg zinc sulfate monohydrate, which corresponds to 25 mg zinc.The other ingredients include citric acid, sodium carbonate, sodium citrate, sodium cyclamate, sodium bicarbonate, sodium saccharin and flavorings (lemon).

Contraindications

Zinc Hexal effervescent tablets must not be taken if you are hypersensitive to zinc sulfate or any of the other ingredients.Particular caution is required in cases of peptic ulcer disease, acute renal failure or severe renal parenchymal damage.For long-term use, copper and zinc levels should be monitored.

Dosage and application

The usual dose for adults and children aged 12 and over is 1/2 to 1 effervescent tablet daily, corresponding to 12.5 to 25 mg zinc.The effervescent tablet should be dissolved in a glass of water and taken after a meal.The duration of use depends on the severity of the zinc deficiency.

Side effects

In very rare cases, skin reactions such as redness or itching may occur.Long-term use can lead to copper deficiency.Tell your doctor or pharmacist if side effects occur or worsen.

Storage

Store the medicine in a dry place and not above 25°C.Keep the medicine out of the reach and reach of children.Do not use the medicine after the expiry date stated on the package.
