Instructions for use for Zinc orotate-POS gastro-resistant tablets, 500 pieces
Zinc orotate-POS®: A needs-based zinc supply in pharmaceutical quality
Zinc orotate-POS® is a dietary supplement that is used to prevent zinc deficiency in the body.Zinc deficiency can manifest itself in various symptoms, such as taste disorders, loss of appetite, fatigue, brittle hair, cracked fingernails, flaky, inflamed or dry, cracked skin, increased susceptibility to infections and delayed wound healing. The body needs a lot of zinc during growth, pregnancy and breastfeeding. An unbalanced diet or dietary lifestyle can also lead to nutritional deficiencies. With Zinc Orotate-POS® the body can be supplied with zinc as needed and easily.
Zinc plays an important role in many of the body's metabolic processes.Skin, hair, nails and the immune system in particular depend on an adequate supply of this important trace element.Zinc orotate-POS® contains zinc that is bound to natural orotic acid. This orotic acid accelerates the transport of zinc into the bloodstream and ensures faster absorption.Zinc orotate-POS® also contains stomach protection, so that the tablet only dissolves in the small intestine and the sensitive stomach mucosa is protected.
No prescription is required for this product.
Active ingredients / ingredients / ingredients
1 Tablet of zinc orotate-POS® contains 40 mg zinc orotate x 2 H2O, which corresponds to a pure zinc content of 6.3 mg.

Contraindications
If you are known to be hypersensitive to any of the ingredients, this product should not be used.
Dosage
Recommended dosage of zinc orotate-POS®: Unless otherwise prescribed, adolescents and adults as well as children over 12 years of age take 1 tablet 3 times a day.For long-term use, the dose is 1 tablet 2-3 times a day.Children aged 4 to 11 take 1 tablet twice a day.
The tablets should be taken whole with a little liquid about half an hour before meals.
Patient information
Particular caution is required when using zinc in high doses over a long period of time.In this case, in addition to zinc, copper should also be monitored in the laboratory.Driving and operating machines do not require any special precautions.Store drug out of reach of children.
Pregnancy
There are no restrictions on use during pregnancy and breastfeeding, provided there is a zinc deficiency and the recommended dosage is not exceeded.
Notes
Dietary supplements are not a substitute for a balanced and varied diet.Keep out of the reach of children. The daily recommended consumption amount should not be exceeded.
Other
When using zinc salts for a long time, copper levels should also be monitored in addition to zinc.If iron, copper or complexing agents (e.g. D-penicillamine, DMPS, EDTA) are taken at the same time, they should be taken at least 2 hours apart to avoid mutual reduction in absorption.
Resolve zinc deficiency safely & effectively
Zinc is essential for many vital functions in the body.If the valuable trace element is missing, the immune system and thus our defense against pathogens is weakened. In addition, a zinc deficiency can lead to skin problems and impair numerous processes such as sugar metabolism, hormone production or hair growth.A zinc deficiency should therefore be prevented or, if a deficiency exists, taken action early on.If you are unable to cover your zinc requirements through diet alone, medication can support the adequate supply of the important trace element.Zinc orotate-POS® can be dosed individually and thus tailored exactly to your personal zinc needs. Thanks to the special protective film, the tablets can pass through the stomach undamaged and the sensitive gastric mucosa remains protected. The zinc is only released in the small intestine and can be optimally absorbed and utilized by the body.Zinc orotate-POS® is well tolerated. The medicine is also suitable for the treatment of zinc deficiency during pregnancy and breastfeeding and for children aged four and over.
Organic zinc compound for good bioavailability
There are many different zinc preparations. But not all of them can be absorbed and used equally well by the body.An organic compound was specifically created with zinc orotate-POS®.The zinc is bound to natural orotic acid, which also occurs in the body. The bioavailability is therefore particularly good. Thanks to the “delay effect” of zinc orotate, which is typical of the substance, the zinc is released slowly and evenly. In this way, the cells are continuously and persistently supplied with the important trace element. This positive effect is further supported by several smaller doses of zinc throughout the day - instead of a single high dose.
The necessary zinc requirements can vary greatly.Depending on age, gender, diet and many other factors, an individual dosage of zinc makes sense.Zinc orotate-POS® covers this need as it can be dosed individually.
Colds & flu-like infections
In autumn and winter our immune system is particularly challenged to fight off cold viruses.Especially now it is important to efficiently prevent a zinc deficiency. If you do get an infection, studies show that zinc can reduce the duration and severity of the cold if it is taken within the first 24 hours after the first symptoms appear. The need plays an important role, especially in winter, as the zinc storage should be charged in good time.
Skin & hair problems
Zinc is present in high concentrations in skin and hair.A zinc deficiency can manifest itself in various complaints: oily and impure skin with increased pimple formation, increasing dryness and itching or the skin reacts with hypersensitivity and allergies. For skin problems, zinc can, for example, reduce excessive sebum production and promote wound healing and healthy skin renewal.
Pregnancy & Breastfeeding
The zinc requirement during pregnancy is 50% higher than in non-pregnant women and there is also a higher need during breastfeeding in order to supply the infant with sufficient zinc through breast milk.An additional supply of the trace element promotes the healthy development of the child, can prevent the consequences of a zinc deficiency in the mother and support the formation of keratin and collagen for healthy hair growth.
Diabetes mellitus
People with diabetes are at increased risk of zinc deficiency.Due to the disturbed metabolism, zinc is absorbed more poorly in diabetes and is also excreted in larger quantities via the kidneys in the urine.A zinc deficiency can have serious consequences: it is more difficult to lower blood sugar levels, typical sequelae of the disease progress more quickly and the immune system is further weakened.
Frequently Asked Questions & Answers
How does a zinc deficiency manifest itself?A zinc deficiency can often remain undetected for months as the body initially tries to compensate for the lack of supply. However, the consequences can be even more severe if the deficiency persists for a long time.It is therefore important to pay attention to the first warning signs such as: tiredness, lack of motivation and concentration problems, frequent colds and infections such as:E.g. herpes, fungal diseases or bronchitis, dry, flaky skin or injuries that heal poorly, brittle, weak hair or increased hair loss.
You should react promptly to signs of a zinc deficiency and specifically incorporate zinc-rich foods into your diet.If that alone is not enough, zinc orotate-POS® can be a good support to replenish zinc stores.
Which foods contain a lot of zinc?To ensure a healthy supply of all the important nutrients and vital substances for the body, the German Nutrition Society (DGE) recommends a wholesome mixed diet.If you follow these recommendations, you will have a sufficient supply of zinc if your needs are normal.Good sources of zinc include meat, fish and dairy products as well as whole grains, legumes and nuts. However, our body can absorb zinc more easily from animal foods than from plant sources.People who prefer a vegetarian or vegan diet should therefore be particularly careful when choosing food. Some plant foods such as whole grains, vegetables and cereals contain phytates, which inhibit zinc absorption.Zinc-rich whole grain products and legumes should therefore be soaked, acidified, germinated or fermented before consumption.
