Areas of application

Juniperus/Berberis comp.Capsules are used according to anthroposophical knowledge of humanity and nature.They serve to stimulate the organization of sensation and heat in the kidney area in cases of weak excretion, for example in the case of kidney stones or gout.They can also help with flatulence (meteorism).

Composition

One soft capsule contains the following ingredients: Acorus calamus e rhizoma ferm 33d Ø 0.0915 mg, Anisi stellati aetheroleum 9.15 mg, Berberis vulgaris e radice W 10% 27.45 mg, D-camphor 0.0915 mg, Eucalypti aetheroleum 18.3 mg, Foeniculi amari fructus aetheroleum9.15 mg, Iecoris aselli oleum A 45.75 mg, Juniperi aetheroleum 9.15 mg, Lini oleum virginale 457.5 mg, Pini pumilionis aetheroleum 9.15 mg, Ricini oleum virginale 45.75 mg, Solidago virgaurea ex herba ferm 33c Dil.D3 0.0915 mg, Terebinthina laricina 0.0915 mg, Terebinthinae aetheroleum rectificatum 9.15 mg, Tritici aestivi oleum raffinatum 183.0 mg.Other ingredients include gelatin, glycerol 85%, cocoa butter, virgin olive oil and purified water.

Contraindications

The medicine must not be used in inflammatory kidney diseases or known hypersensitivity to preparations made from juniper berries, goldenrod, larch resin, purified essential oil from the turpentine of pine species, linseed, cineole, camphor, star anise, anise, anethole, fennel or other umbelliferous plants as well as any of the other ingredients of the medicine.Due to the calamus root component, Juniperus/Berberis comp.Capsules should not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding or in children under 12 years of age.

Interactions

Eucalyptus oil can weaken and/or shorten the effects of other medicines because it causes an induction of the xenobiotic-degrading enzyme system in the liver.

Dosage and method of administration

Unless otherwise prescribed, 1 soft capsule should be taken 1 to 3 times daily after eating with plenty of liquid.No more than 3 soft capsules should be taken per day.

Duration of application

Due to the fennel oil content, Juniperus/Berberis comp.Capsules should not be taken for several weeks without consulting your doctor.The duration of treatment for chronic diseases requires consultation with the doctor.

Side effects

Long-term use or overdose can cause kidney damage.Hypersensitivity reactions, including shortness of breath, may occur in appropriately sensitized patients.
