Area of application
This medicine is used to treat elevated blood phosphate levels in patients with chronic kidney failure who are having dialysis (hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis). It belongs to the group of phosphate binders.Phosphate is a mineral that affects bone health. If kidney function is impaired, high phosphate levels can occur in the blood, which can lead to bone problems. The preparation binds phosphate and helps to balance phosphate levels.
Active ingredients and ingredients
The film-coated tablets contain the following active ingredients: 451.5 mg calcium diacetate x-water, 110 mg calcium ion, 435 mg calcium diacetate, 235 mg magnesium carbonate, heavy, basic and 60 mg magnesium ion.The following excipients are also included: croscarmellose sodium salt, gelatin, hypromellose, magnesium stearate, corn starch, refined castor oil, 50 mg sucrose, pre-gelatinized starch and 5.6 mg total sodium ion.
Contraindications

The medicine can be taken for a long period of time, although it is at the discretion of your doctor to determine the exact period. Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you feel that the effect is either too strong or too weak.
If you take more than you should, please ask your doctor for advice, as calcium and magnesium levels may increase and cause serious side effects. If you forget to take a dose, you should continue with the next dose.Do not take a double dose if you forget to take the previous dose. The intake should not be interrupted or stopped without first consulting your doctor.
