Area of application

Mode of action

The active ingredient in Mucofalk Fit is based on the seed shells of Indian psyllium, which are rich in bulking agents and fiber.These can bind many times their own weight in fluid, making the stool more voluminous and softer.This promotes intestinal activity and makes elimination easier.Psyllium husks can also bind dietary cholesterol and bile acids, which can lead to a natural reduction in total and LDL-cholesterol in the blood by 10-15.

5 g (equivalent to 1 bag) Mucofalk Fit contains 3.25 g ground Indian psyllium husks (Plantago ovata).The other ingredients are sucrose (sucrose), citric acid, dextrin, sodium alginate, sodium citrate-2-H2O, orange flavor, sodium chloride and saccharin sodium.

Dosage

For chronic constipation, adults and adolescents aged 12 and over take one sachet 2-3 times a day after stirring it into plenty of liquid (at least 150 ml).When used as a supportive therapy for diarrhea, irritable bowel syndrome and elevated cholesterol levels, adults and adolescents aged 12 and over take one sachet 2-6 times a day after stirring it into plenty of liquid (at least 150 ml).To support the treatment of elevated cholesterol levels, it is recommended to be taken with meals.

Intake

Never take the medicine dry, otherwise the throat, airways or esophagus may be blocked.Put the prescribed amount of the preparation into a glass and slowly fill it with water, fruit juice or similar liquid (at least 150 ml).Stir quickly with a spoon, being careful not to form any lumps, and drink the resulting liquid immediately.Drink another glass of liquid.Do not take the medicine lying down or immediately before going to bed.The drug usually takes effect 12 to 24 hours after taking it.

Contraindications
