Mode of action

The active ingredient in Mucofalk Fit are the seed shells of Indian psyllium.These are rich in swelling substances and fiber and can bind many times their own weight in liquid.This makes the stool more voluminous and soft, which stimulates the intestines to move naturally.This makes elimination easier and helps with both constipation and diarrhea.In addition, psyllium husks can bind dietary cholesterol and bile acids, which can lead to a natural reduction in total and LDL-cholesterol in the blood.

Area of application

Contraindications

Mucofalk Fit must not be used in cases of known hypersensitivity to one of the ingredients, severe cases of hardening of the stool (fecal stones, fecal impaction), discomfort and pain in the abdomen, nausea and vomiting until the causes have been clarified by a doctor, after a sudden change in bowel habits that lasts longer than 2 weeks, after taking a laxative without passing stool, bleeding through the anus/anus, difficulty swallowing and the urge to vomit, pathological narrowing of the stoolesophagus, the stomach entrance or in the gastrointestinal tract, impending or existing intestinal obstruction (ileus) or pathological expansion of the large intestine (megacolon syndrome), water and electrolyte balance disorders, diseases that are associated with restricted fluid intake, forms of diabetes that are difficult to control (diabetes mellitus) and children under 12 years of age.Caution is advised when taking thyroid hormones at the same time, as dosage adjustment may be necessary.

Dosage

Intake

Never take the medicine dry, otherwise the throat, airways or esophagus may be blocked.Pour the prescribed amount of the preparation into a glass.Slowly fill the glass with water, fruit juice or similar liquid (at least 150 ml).Stir quickly with a spoon.Be careful not to form any lumps and drink the prepared liquid immediately.Drink another glass of liquid.Do not take the medicine lying down or immediately before going to bed.The drug usually takes effect 12 to 24 hours after taking it.Take the preparation during the day at least ½ to 1 hour before or after taking other medicines.
