Mode of action

The versatile use of China-Oel® is due to the diverse effects of pure peppermint oil.When taken, this has an antispasmodic effect on spasms in the gastrointestinal tract as well as flatulence and astringent.Taking it also stimulates the secretion of digestive juices, such as gastric juice and bile.

Rubbing the skin with China-Oel® addresses the cold receptors present there.By passing on the induced cold stimulus, pain conduction is blocked.As a result, the muscles relax.It also promotes blood circulation in the skin.There is a deep warming of the treated areas.

When used as an inhalant, China-Oel® has a secretolytic effect.Stuck cough and mucus are loosened and can be secreted.Peppermint oil also has an antimicrobial effect.

100 ml of China-Oel® contains 100 ml of peppermint oil as a medicinally active ingredient.China-Oel® is purely plant-based and contains no alcohol.

Contraindications

You must not use the herbal medicine if you have a blockage of the bile ducts, inflammation of the gallbladder, severe liver damage, infants and small children in the area of the face and nose or for inhalation, and children under 12 years of age.If you have gallstones, the medicine should only be taken after consulting a doctor.To date, there is no evidence against taking it during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Dosage

Unless otherwise prescribed, use China-Oel® as follows:

Internal use: Average daily dose 6 to 12 drops, i.e.h.3 - 4 drops 2 - 3 times per day.

For inhalation: Add 3-4 drops to approx. 300 ml of hot water.You can repeat this 2-3 times a day.

External use: Rub the affected skin area with a few drops of China-Oel®.

Type and duration of application:

For upper respiratory tract colds, add 3 drops to hot water and inhale the vapors deeply with your eyes closed.Additionally, drink 2-3 drops in hot water in sips.You can also lightly rub your chest, neck and neck with China-Oel®.

For cramp-like complaints of the bile ducts and the gastrointestinal area, add 3-4 drops to half a glass of warm water and drink it on an empty stomach.

If you have muscle pain (myalgia), rub the affected areas with a few drops of China-Oel® and then keep them warm with cotton wool or a woolen cloth.Nerve pain-like (neuralgiform) complaints are also treated.If you have nerve pain-like symptoms in the head area, apply a few drops to the forehead, temples and neck and distribute them well.A night dab with cold water increases the effect.

Notes

In infants and preschool-aged children, the medicine must not be applied to the face or used for inhalation, as asthma-like conditions can occur. Wash your hands thoroughly after using China-Oel® and avoid direct contact with mucous membranes, eyes and open wounds.

How do I inhale correctly?

1. Heat 1-2 liters of water and pour it into a sturdy container (a bowl or a pot).

2. When the temperature of the water is around 80°C, add 3-4 drops of China-Oel®.Note: Water from the kettle cools down to 80 °C in approx. 8-10 minutes.

3. Lean over the bowl (careful: do not immerse yourself!) and spread a towel over your head so that the steam does not escape to the side.Breathe normally through your mouth and nose.Do not inhale for longer than 10 minutes.

Tip: Use the practical China-Oel® inhaler (medical product) when you are in the office, traveling or on the go or when you want to inhale without water.

What is the best way to store China-Oel®?

China-Oel® should be stored out of the reach of children, protected from light and not above 25 °C.In the original packaging, the contents are protected from light.

When should I not use China-Oel®?

China-Oel® for internal and external use is only indicated for adults over 18 years of age; inhalation is also indicated for young people over 12 years of age.You should not take peppermint oil (internal use) if you are allergic to peppermint oil and/or menthol or if you suffer from liver disease, stomach acid deficiency, gall inflammation, gallstones or other bile problems.
