Glucose 20% B. Braun is an injection solution that contains glucose monohydrate as the active ingredient.100 ml of the solution contains 22.0 g of glucose monohydrate, which corresponds to 20.0 g of anhydrous glucose.The other ingredient is water for injections.

This solution is used to raise blood sugar levels when values are too low.After dilution, it is administered as an infusion through a thin tube into a vein (intravenously).No prescription is required for this product.

Important notes

Glucose 20% B. Braun must not be used if your blood sugar level is too high, your blood potassium level is too low or your blood is hyperacidic.Particular caution is required if there are elevated concentrations of salts and other substances in the blood.Blood electrolyte levels, fluid balance and acid-base status are monitored regularly during use.

Children, especially newborns and premature babies, are at increased risk of high blood sugar levels.Therefore, close blood sugar monitoring is necessary.To date, there are no known interactions with other medications.

Application

Side effects

Storage
