Almased type 2 powder is a food for special medical purposes and a supplementary balanced diet. It is recommended to support dietary management in overweight individuals with a BMI over 27 who have type 2 diabetes. The powder is designed to lower blood glucose levels and HbA1c. The consumption recommendation is to consume three shakes and 750 ml of vegetable juice per day in the first week. In the second to fourth week, the shake should be drunk twice a day. In weeks five to twelve, one replaces only the evening meal with a shake, while specific dietary recommendations apply to the remaining meals. The preparation is indicated with water, vegetable oil rich in omega-3 fatty acids and the Almased powder. The dosage of the powder varies according to body size. The product should be stored in a cool and dry place. It contains soy protein, bee honey, skimmed milk yoghurt powder and various vitamins and minerals. Almased Type 2 Powder is manufactured by Almased Wellness GmbH in Germany and may only be used under medical supervision. It is not suitable as a sole source of nutrition.
