Description

Uro-Tainer NaCl 0.9% from B. Braun is a sterile, endotoxin-free solution that was specifically developed for the care of transurethral and suprapubic catheters.This solution is used to remove deposits, tissue residues and clots.The Uro-Tainer is a ready-to-use, disposable system consisting of an PVC-bag in a protective plastic outer packaging containing 50 ml or 100 ml of sterile solution.There is also a flexible tube with a clamp and a sterile universal connector with a plastic cap with a safety seal.

Composition

100 ml of the solution contains sodium chloride 0.9 g in water for injections.

Application

The solution is used as needed.It is only intended for rinsing urethral catheters and is not suitable for intravenous infusion.The solution should be instilled using gravity and not administered forcefully.Special precautions should be taken in patients with spinal injuries due to the risk of autonomic dysrelexia.If the product is not well tolerated, appropriate action should be taken.For the simultaneous administration of medication, the Uro-Tainer "M" should be used, which was specifically developed for the addition of medication.

Security

Sterile techniques should be used.Disinfection of the injection port prior to use is recommended.The product should only be used if the contents and sealing cap are intact and the solution is clear.It must be kept out of the reach of children.The illustrated instructions for use should be observed.The system is intended for single use only and must be used and disposed of immediately after opening.Reuse of single-use devices poses a potential risk to the patient or user and may result in contamination and/or impairment of functionality.

Side effects

There are no known side effects of this solution.If the fluid comes out of the urethra during the flushing process, the catheter may no longer be in the bladder and the patient may need a new catheter.If the fluid is not flowing, the catheter may be kinked or blocked in the bladder and needs to be replaced.

Storage and shelf life

The product should be stored in the original packaging protected from light at a maximum temperature of 25°C.It must be used before the date marked EXP on the back of the bag.
