Directions for use of the article Uro Tainer M Sodium Chloride Solution 0,9% Product properties: - Uro-Tainer M NaCl 0,9% B. Brown, sterile, endotoxin-free - Solution for the care of transurethral and suprapubic catheters, with injection port. Composition: - Sodium chloride 0.9 g per 100 ml solution Description: - The solution is used intravesically for the instillation of medicinal products. - The closed system allows administration through an indwelling or disposable urethral catheter - Uro-Tainer is a ready-to-use, single-use system consisting of a PVC-bag in a protective plastic cover containing sterile solution, a separate port for drug addition, a flexible tube with clamp and a sterile universal connector with safety seal Dosage: - As required Overdose: - No clinical data on overdose in humans are available Important information: - The solution is intended for irrigation of urethral catheters only, not for intravenous infusion - The solution should be instilled by gravity, not forcibly administered - Precautions are required in patients with spinal cord injuries due to the risk of autonomic dysreflexia - Use should be under strictly aseptic conditions, disinfection of the injection port is recommended - When adding drugs, the manufacturer's instructions must be followed and compatibility with NaCl 0.9% must be ensured - When adding cytostatics, follow the specific instructions of the manufacturer PVC-- The product may only be used if the contents and the closure cap are intact and the solution is clear - The system is intended for single use and should be used quickly after opening - Opened bags and leftover solution should be discarded - Reuse of single-use devices poses risks to the patient or user - DEHP may pose a potential risk with long-term use, especially to premature male infants - The product should be kept out of the reach of children - Illustrated instructions for use can be found on the next page of the brochure - After use, the product should be disposed of properly Side effects: - There are no known side effects of this solution - If the fluid leaks from the urethra during the flushing process, the catheter may no longer be in the bladder and a new catheter may be needed - If the fluid does not flow, the catheter could be kinked or blocked in the bladder and will need to be replaced Expiry date: - Do not use the solution after the expiry date stated on the back of the sachet Storage: - The solution should be stored in the original packaging away from light at a temperature below 25°C Manufacturer: - B.
