Instructions for use of the article Uro Tainer Sodium Chloride Solution 0,9% Product characteristics: - Uro-Tainer NaCl 0.9% B. Braun, sterile, endotoxin-free - Solution for the care of transurethral and suprapubic catheters Composition: 100 ml solution contains: Sodium chloride 0.9 g in water for injections. Description: A solution for suprapubic and urethral indwelling catheters as an aid to remove debris, tissue debris and clots. The Uro-Tainer consists of a PVC-bag in a protective plastic outer packaging containing 50 ml or 100 ml of sterile solution, a flexible tube with clamp and a sterile universal connector with plastic cap and safety seal. Dosage: As required. Overdose: No clinical overdose data available. Important information: - This solution is intended for irrigation of urethral catheters only and not for intravenous infusion. - Instill the solution by gravity, do not administer by force. - Take precautions in patients with spinal injuries as autonomic dysrelexia may occur. - Take appropriate measures in case of intolerance (see side effects). - Use the Uro-Tainer "M" for concomitant administration of medications. - Use sterile techniques and disinfect the injection port before use. - Use only if the contents as well as the sealing cap are intact and the solution is clear. - Keep out of reach of children. - The system is intended for single use only. Use immediately after opening and discard. Side effects: No side effects known. If the fluid leaks out of the urethra during the flushing process, the catheter may no longer be in the bladder and a new catheter will be needed. If the fluid does not flow, the catheter may be kinked or blocked and will need to be replaced. Usable until: Use before the date marked on the bag.
