Elmex Children's Toothpaste: Elmex Children's Toothpaste contains effective amine fluoride in the recommended fluoride concentration of 1,000 ppm. It makes the teeth more resistant to caries-induced mineral breakdown and helps to reincorporate the minerals dissolved out by caries into the tooth enamel. It also forms a calcium fluoride top layer on the enamel. The application consists of brushing the teeth twice a day with a pea-sized amount of toothpaste. From the 6th birthday, elmex Junior toothpaste with 1,400 ppm fluoride and adapted flavour should be used. Regular check-ups at the dentist are also important, which is why a check-up visit should be arranged already in the first year of life. For toddlers and babies, it is recommended to use a pea-sized amount of toothpaste with 1,000 ppm fluoride daily. For children under two years of age, toothpaste should contain either a rice grain-sized amount with 1,000 ppm or a pea-sized amount of toothpaste with 500 ppm fluoride. It is recommended to use a toothpaste with a higher fluoride concentration as soon as the child is able to spit out the toothpaste, usually from the age of 6 years. The ingredients of Elmex Children's Toothpaste are Aqua, Sorbitol, Hydrated Silica, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Olaflu, Aroma*, Saccharin (*Aroma (> 100 PPM): Anethole, Carvone, Limonene, Mentha Arvensis Extract, Mentha Viridis (Spearmint) Leaf Oil, Propylene Glycol). The toothpaste contains Olaflur (amine fluoride) with a fluoride content of 1000 ppm. The elmex Children's Toothpaste provides triple protection for baby teeth by forming a calcium fluoride top layer on the enamel, making the teeth more resistant to decay-induced mineral breakdown and helping to reincorporate minerals that have been dislodged by decay.
