InfectoDiarrstop LGG is used to treat diarrhea in infants and young children from birth onwards.The prepared drinking solution contains a balanced composition of salts, sugar and liquid.The product also contains viable lactic acid bacteria, known as Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG.These bacteria are part of the natural human intestinal flora and can inhibit the adhesion of harmful germs to the intestinal mucosa and support the body's natural defense function.InfectoDiarrstop LGG thereby helps to strengthen the intestinal barrier against harmful pathogens.

Active ingredients / ingredients / ingredients

The active ingredients are Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG, sodium citrate, potassium chloride, sodium chloride, glucose monohydrate and D-glucose.A double-chamber bag with 4.65 g of powder contains at least 5x10^9 colony-forming units (corresponding to 25 mg Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG, freeze-dried), 840 mg sodium citrate, 300 mg potassium chloride, 200 mg sodium chloride, 1970 mg glucose monohydrate and 1281 mg D-glucose.The other ingredients are sucrose, aspartame, maltodextrin and sodium ascorbate.

Contraindications

The medicine must not be taken if your child is allergic to any of the active ingredients or any of the other ingredients.The medicine must also not be used in the case of acute and chronic excretion disorders of the kidneys, insatiable vomiting, clouding of consciousness or shock in the context of severe fluid deficiency, disruption of the acid-base balance with hypoacidification of the blood or if the absorption of fluid in the gastrointestinal tract is not possible or is only possible to a limited extent.

Dosage

Always give your child this medicine exactly as described or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you.For mild diarrhea, infants and toddlers up to 23 months can receive 1-2 double-chamber bags per day, children from 2 years can receive 2-3 double-chamber bags per day.For moderate and severe diarrhea, 50-100 ml of the prepared drinking solution per kilogram of body weight is administered in the first 4-6 hours.The duration of application is normally 3 days.If the diarrhea has not improved after 2 days, you need to see a doctor.

Intake

To be taken after making up a suspension.Cut open the double chamber bag and stir the contents of both chambers completely into 200 ml of water.The drinking solution should be administered in an upright position.The powder must not be stirred into tea or fruit juice and must not be dissolved in hot or alcoholic drinks, as this may reduce the effectiveness of the medicine.Prepare the drinking solution as soon as possible before use and do not heat it above 40 °C.If nausea and/or vomiting occurs at the same time, you should initially give your child small amounts of the drinking solution and increase the amount depending on the condition.
