Instructions for use and active ingredients of Nystaderm mouth gel: - Nystaderm Mouth Gel contains the active ingredient nystatin and is used to treat yeast infections in the oral cavity (thrush). - The recommended dose for babies and young children is 1/2-1 scoop of gel 3-6 times a day before and after a meal. Children over 2 years and adults should take 1 scoop of gel 3-6 times daily. - The gel should be applied to the oral mucosa, spread and then swallowed. In addition, affected areas can be smeared with a cotton swab previously dipped in the gel. - Treatment should be continued for at least 2 days after the symptoms have subsided and should not last longer than 28 days in total. - Possible side effects are rare and occasionally include hypersensitivity reactions and disturbances of well-being. - The medicine should not be used if there is hypersensitivity to the ingredients. - Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult a doctor before use. - The gel should be stored at temperatures below 25°C and once the tube has been opened it has a shelf life of 4 weeks. - For more information on the composition and mode of action of the medicinal product, see the package leaflet.
