Instructions for use for the MTR DoloBravo neurostimulator

The MTR DoloBravo neurostimulator is a modern 2-channel stimulator that can work simultaneously with two pairs of electrodes, i.e. a total of four electrodes.This device has been specially developed for highly efficient pain therapy using TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation) and can be used without outside help. TENS is suitable for supporting various types of pain.The stimulation current pulses generated by the DoloBravo are transmitted through the skin to the nerve fibers via the electrodes.The pain-relieving effect usually occurs as soon as stimulation begins and continues for a while after stimulation has ended.

No prescription is required for this product.The intended users are both doctors and patients.

There are certain situations in which the DoloBravo should not be used.These include:

Patients with electronic implants such as pacemakers or pumps, as malfunctions may occur.Patients with myocardial damage or arrhythmias.While operating potentially dangerous machines.When driving a vehicle.Patients with epilepsy.For severe local inflammation or thrombosis.For febrile illnesses or infectious diseases.In cases of mechanical intestinal obstruction.In the presence of flammable gas mixtures.Not in combination with surgical high-frequency devices as burn marks can occur under the electrodes.When using contraceptive coils containing metal.

Please note the following basic rules when using it:

Avoid transcerebral stimulation (through the head).Do not stimulate the carotid sinus nerve area.Avoid stimulation in the sinoatrial node area.Do not stimulate the eye area.Avoid stimulation in the larynx and pharynx area.Do not stimulate areas with skin defects.Do not position the electrodes directly on the spine.

Technical data

The DoloBravo is a 2-channel stimulator with 15 integrated programs.The pulse shape is asymmetrical, rectangular and biphasic without direct current components.The intensity is 0 - 90 mA at 500 ohm resistance, 70 mA maximum at 1000 ohm resistance and 65 mA maximum at 1500 ohm resistance.The displayed values may vary depending on the condition of the skin electrodes.The stimulator is a class IIa medical device and has the classification internal power supply, constant current, continuous operation, type BF, IP 20. The frequency is 1 - 200 Hz and the pulse width is 50 µs - 450 µs.The ascent and descent times are between 0.1 and 9.9 seconds.The time setting can vary from 1 minute to 9 hours and 59 minutes.The stimulator is powered by 4 type AA batteries and has a maximum voltage of 180 V (80 V at 1000 ohms).The dimensions are 141.6 mm in length, 74 mm in width and 40.4 mm in height.The weight including batteries is 250 g.
