Mode of action

Regaine® Men's Solution was specifically developed to treat genetic hair loss.The active ingredient minoxidil can not only stop the progression of hereditary hair loss, but also promote the growth of new hair.Visible results are possible after just 12 weeks.Genetically caused hair loss leads to a progressive reduction in the size of the hair follicles.This is exactly where Rogaine® comes in: the active ingredient minoxidil stimulates the hair follicles from the first day of use and promotes the growth of new hair.When used daily, the first positive effects can become visible after just 12 weeks.

Rogaine® can stimulate hair growth and stop hair loss.It can take a few weeks until the first visible results appear, as the hair needs time to grow back.The new hair can form in the first few months.At first, these hairs appear thin and light, but over time they become thicker and stronger.From this point on, you should also notice a slowdown in hair loss.Many men report that their hair becomes visibly thicker and stronger after 12 weeks.

Regaine® men's solution stabilizes the course of hereditary baldness (androgenetic alopecia) in the tonsure area of the scalp with a diameter of 3-10 cm in men aged 18-49 years.The treatment usually results in a slowing of hair loss and thus counteracts the progression of baldness.

Note: Rogaine® Men's Solution is only indicated for use in male patients.

Dosage

Information on how to use Regaine® Men's Solution:

- use twice a day, preferably in the morning and evening

- Store Rogaine® men's solution in a clearly visible place so that you do not forget to use it

- apply 1 ml of the solution to dry scalp using an applicator

- Less is more: 1 ml is sufficient even for larger areas

- Massage the solution well into the affected area of the scalp

- Wash your hands thoroughly after use

Please note the following:

- Wait at least 4 hours after application before washing your hair so that the active ingredient can be completely absorbed

- Do not blow-dry your hair immediately after use to prevent the active ingredient from evaporating

- The use of hair care products such as:B. hair gel, does not affect the effectiveness of Rogaine® men's solution

- Allow the solution to dry thoroughly before going to bed to ensure the best possible absorption of the active ingredients

The most important thing: Please ensure regular and long-term use.Since hereditary hair loss (androgenetic alopecia) has its roots in the genetic material, consistent and continuous therapy is essential for the success of the treatment.

To stimulate hair growth, Regaine® Men should be applied to the scalp daily and without interruption.

Can the application be stopped once the desired effect has occurred?

The answer to this question is: no.Even if the hair loss has stopped and the hair becomes thicker, it is important to continue using Regaine® Men.If the treatment is interrupted or not continued regularly, the hair roots lose their activity.The result would be a gradual return of genetically caused hair loss.

Choosing the right applicator.

There are 2 different applicators available.It may take a few tries until the optimal applicator is found. Here are some decision-making aids that can help with your selection:

- Pump Spray Applicator: Ideal for large and bald areas of the scalp

- Pump spray applicator with extended tip: Particularly suitable for smaller scalp areas.Makes application easier, especially on longer hair

Dosage:

Men aged 18 - 49

apply 1 ml Rogaine Men twice a day (morning and evening) to the affected areas of the scalp.

The daily amount of 2x 1 ml solution should not be exceeded, regardless of the size of the affected scalp area.

Intake

Application on the skin (scalp)

Each pack contains 3 different applicators:

Pump spray applicator for large-area use in the tonsure area

Pump spray applicator with extended tip for small bald areas in the tonsure area

For the dose of 1 ml, 6 sprays (pump sprays) are required.

Pump spray applicator:

Unscrew the screw cap from the bottle.

Place the spray applicator on the bottle and screw it tight.Remove the small cap.

Press the pump six times.After each pumping process, spread the liquid over the affected area with your fingertips.Avoid inhaling spray fumes.

Close the spray applicator with the small cap after use.

Wash your hands thoroughly after use.

Pump spray applicator with extended tip:

First screw the pump spray applicator onto the bottle.

Remove the small spray head and firmly attach the extended tip.Remove the small cap at the tip end.

Press the pump six times.After each pumping process, spread the liquid over the affected area with your fingertips.Avoid inhaling spray fumes.

After use, place the small cap back on the tip.

Wash your hands thoroughly after use.

What else do you need to pay attention to when using it?

Since the preparation contains alcohol, it is highly flammable.Keep the medicine away from open flames or other sources of ignition.

The medicine should be applied to the dry tonsured area of the scalp.

It should not be used on other parts of the body.

After application, hands should be washed carefully to avoid accidental contact with mucous membranes and eyes.

After application you can style your hair as usual.However, you should not wet the scalp for about 4 hours.This will prevent the medicine from being washed off.

Patient information

Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using the medicine.

Use the medicine only on normal, healthy scalp.

You should not use the medicine if the cause of hair loss is unknown, or if you have hair loss after childbirth, or if the scalp is red, inflamed or painful.

There is no clinical experience with its effectiveness for hair loss in the temple area (receding hairline).

If effects on organ systems (systemic effects) or severe skin reactions occur, the preparation should be discontinued.

You should not use the medicine if you have signs of cardiovascular disease or cardiac arrhythmias

if you suffer from high blood pressure

if you use medicines to treat high blood pressure (antihypertensives).

You should stop taking the medicine and seek medical attention if a decrease in blood pressure is noticed or if one or more of the following occurs: chest pain, rapid heartbeat, feeling weak or dizzy, sudden and unexplained weight gain, swollen hands or feet, persistent redness or irritation of the scalp.

Occasionally, patients with very light hair have reported minor changes in hair color when using hair care products at the same time or after swimming in water with a high concentration of chlorine.

Avoid inhaling the spray fumes.

Accidental ingestion can cause serious side effects in the cardiovascular system.Therefore, you must keep this medicine out of the reach of children.

Children and adolescents: The medicine must not be used in children and adolescents under the age of 18, as there are no results on effectiveness and safety from controlled clinical studies for this patient group.

It is not expected that the ability to actively participate in road traffic or operate machines will be impaired.

After use it can occur in contact with sensitive textiles and surfaces, such as:b. Pillows or hats may cause discoloration.This is especially true while the solution is still wet on the scalp.

Pregnancy

The medicine is only indicated for use in male patients.

Rogaine® men's solution contains propylene glycol.

Please do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the pack or outer packaging.The expiry date refers to the last day of the specified month.
