Sensicutan® cream

Sensicutan® Cream is a cortisone-free cream that was specifically developed for the treatment of inflammatory, non-infectious and extremely itchy skin diseases.It contains the active ingredients alpha-bisabolol and heparin sodium, which in combination have a rapid anti-inflammatory effect and relieve unpleasant itching.The cream's skin-friendly emulsion system allows it to be used on dry, normal and moist skin.

Sensicutan® Cream is used for various skin diseases, including acute and chronic eczema and atopic dermatitis, also known as neurodermatitis.It is suitable for adults, teenagers and children aged 3 and over.The cream has pleasant skin-care properties, is perfume-free, non-staining and slightly greasy.It can be easily removed from laundry and clothing.

Areas of application

Sensicutan® Cream helps with various skin problems, including:

Itching caused by insect bites, sun allergy, age-related itching, or reactions to medications and foods.

Irritated, red and inflamed skin, for example in the case of hypersensitivity to cosmetics, textiles or detergents as well as in sensitive aging skin.

Acute and chronic eczema, such as facial eczema or hand eczema.

Contact allergies, for example to nickel, jewelry, piercings, tattoos, flowers or fruit.

Neurodermatitis (atopic, endogenous eczema) to relieve the typical symptoms.

Active ingredients and ingredients

Sensicutan® cream contains the following active ingredients: (-)-alpha-bisabolol 0.30 g and heparin sodium (from pig intestinal mucosa) 20,000 IU per 100 g cream.

The other ingredients are: almond oil, medium-chain triglycerides, tetradecan-1-ol, citric acid, polypeptides from collagen, all-rac-alpha-tocopherol acetate, dexpanthenol, purified water, mixture of tetradecan-1-ol, cetyl alcohol (Ph.Eur.), stearyl alcohol (Ph.Eur.), macrogol myristyle ether (4 EO-units),Macrogol cetyl stearyl ether (Ph.Eur.) (15 EO-units) and Macrogol cetyl stearyl ether (Ph.Eur.) (25 EO-units);Preservatives: sorbic acid, salicylic acid.

Contraindications

Sensicutan® cream must not be used if you are allergic to alpha-bisabolol or heparin sodium or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.If you have a tendency to bleed or have a reduced number of platelets, you should avoid using heparin preparations.

Dosage

The recommended dose for adults, adolescents and children aged 3 years and over is: Sensicutan® Cream should be applied to the affected skin areas two to three times a day.If you don't feel better after one or two weeks or even feel worse, contact your doctor.

Notes

Contains sorbic acid, cetyl and stearyl alcohol.Read the package leaflet.Sensicutan® Cream must not be used if you are allergic to any of the ingredients.Long-term use on large areas should be avoided in children.Use in children under 3 years is not recommended.Please do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the pack or outer packaging.
