Area of application

Milgamma® mono 300 is a proven choice for nerve damage caused by vitamin B1 deficiency.This preparation compensates for the vitamin B1 deficiency and can therefore relieve accompanying symptoms such as tingling, burning and numbness in the feet.The active ingredient benfotiamine is particularly well absorbed by the body.This product is particularly suitable for diabetics as they are at increased risk of vitamin B1 deficiency and associated nerve damage.Early treatment can have a very positive effect.

Active ingredients and ingredients

The main active ingredient in Milgamma® mono 300 is benfotiamine with a dosage of 300 mg per film-coated tablet.In addition, the preparation contains the following excipients: microcrystalline cellulose, croscarmellose sodium salt, hypromellose, macrogol, long-chain partial glycerides, povidone K30, sodium saccharin, colloidal silicon dioxide, talc and titanium dioxide.

Contraindications

Milgamma® mono 300 must not be taken if you are allergic to benfotiamine, thiamine (vitamin B1) or any of the other components of the medicine.No prescription is required for this product.

Dosage

Always take the medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or after consulting your doctor or pharmacist.The recommended dose is one film-coated tablet once daily.To treat neuropathies, the preparation should initially be taken for a period of at least three weeks.Further treatment then depends on the therapeutic success.

The duration of intake depends on the therapeutic success.If there is no or only a slight effect after four weeks, the therapy should be checked.Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you feel that the effect is too strong or too weak.

If you have taken more than you should, no medical attention is generally required.Do not take a double dose if you forget to take the previous dose.Try to take the medicine regularly in the future.If you stop taking it, you risk the success of the treatment.If you experience unpleasant side effects, talk to your doctor about further treatment.

The film-coated tablets are swallowed whole with a little liquid.

Pregnancy

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.During pregnancy and breastfeeding, the preparation should only be used to treat a proven vitamin B1 deficiency if your doctor considers this to be absolutely necessary.The recommended daily intake for vitamin B1 during pregnancy is 1.2 mg in the second trimester and 1.3 mg in the third trimester.During breastfeeding, the recommended daily intake for vitamin B1 is 1.3 mg.The safety of using doses higher than the daily recommended dose has not yet been proven.Vitamin B1 passes into breast milk.
