Milgamma® mono 300 film-coated tablets contain 300 mg benfotiamine, a fat-soluble derivative of vitamin B1.This active ingredient helps treat neuropathies caused by vitamin B1 deficiency.

One film-coated tablet of Milgamma® mono 300 film-coated tablets contains 300 mg benfotiamine.Other ingredients include microcrystalline cellulose, talc, povidone (K30), colloidal silicon dioxide, croscarmellose sodium, higher chain partial glycerides, hypromellose, titanium dioxide, polyethylene glycol and saccharin sodium.

Contraindications

Milgamma® mono 300 must not be taken if you are allergic to benfotiamine, thiamine or any of the other ingredients of the medicine.

Dosage

The recommended dosage is one film-coated tablet once daily.The tablets should be swallowed whole with some liquid.To treat neuropathies, the preparation should be taken over a period of at least three weeks.Further treatment depends on the therapeutic success.If no or too little effect is noticeable after four weeks, the therapy should be checked.No prescription is required for this product.

Pregnancy

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.During pregnancy and breastfeeding, the preparation should only be used to treat a proven vitamin B1 deficiency if your doctor considers this to be absolutely necessary.The recommended daily intake for vitamin B1 during pregnancy is 1.2 mg in the second trimester and 1.3 mg in the third trimester.During breastfeeding, the recommended daily intake is 1.3 mg.The safety of using doses higher than the daily recommended dose has not yet been proven.
