Directions for use of the article Echinacea compositum Cosmoplex tablets. Echinacea compositum Cosmoplex is a homeopathic medicine that is registered but has no specific therapeutic indication. It contains a mixture of different active ingredients, including Echinacea, Lachesis, Hepar sulphuris and others. It must not be taken if there is an allergy to any of the active ingredients or to composite or poisonous plants. Its use is not recommended in advanced systemic diseases, systemic diseases of the white blood cell system, autoimmune diseases, immunodeficiency and immunosuppression. Allergic reactions such as skin rash, itching, facial swelling, dyspnoea, dizziness and hypotension have been observed, especially in patients with atopic diseases. Use in children under 1 year of age is not recommended. Long-term use may result in a reduction of white blood cells. Interactions with other medicinal products may occur. In addition, the medicinal product contains lactose, therefore it should be taken with caution in case of sugar intolerance. Side effects may occur, such as allergic reactions and temporary aggravation of existing symptoms. If symptoms persist for more than 14 days, a doctor should be consulted.
